My chickens put themselves to bed tonight without any help.  I had taken my kids to church and went shopping after so I wasn't home when it was their usual time to get cooped up.  Normally I go back home after dropping them off, but I didn't this time and I totally forgot about the chickens.  I ran out there once home and found every single one up on the roosts sleeping.  They kind of woke up, clucked at me, and went back to sleep.

1mutt- I forgot to say Little Boy Blue is too adorable.  Love him!

Still VERY envious and want to hear all about them when they hatch.  What do you feed emu?  Or rather what does their feed contain?

Everyone has been extremely grumpy around here.  I'm not sure what the deal is.  However it is a day to be remembered as my nephew, James Edward arrived early this evening.  This is my little brother's first child.  Poor child is going to have it tough because my brother insists his children will NEVER be disobedient!lau.gif

Oh and Raz if yard work makes your neighbor that upset you might want to do a whole yard landscaping project.  Make sure to get a load of manure and dump it right next to the fence.

Have a good night everyone!

I have never been this frustrated and mad in my life.

Man, what is this world coming to?  Sorry to hear that jendear.  I really can't believe somebody would steal diapers right off your line.

The chicks didn't come today.   I thought they might since they were only coming from the west side of the state.  Hopefully tomorrow...I stopped by the post office yesterday and told them to call as soon as they arrive.  Of course Randy has a great tale about how well that worked out for him and his mallards!

Has anybody else ordered chicks from Townline?  Did they send them Priority Mail?  Did they give you a tracking number?  How long did it take for them to arrive?  Thanks.

Nite everybody!

Jendear - I used to cloth diaper on a very, very low budget. Do you have any recieving blankets? You can use those as the outside of the diaper, putting the prefold on the inside as an insert. Or if you get really desperate, you can even fold up another recieving blanket as an insert. It works quite well, and you can slightly alter the folding of the recieving blanket to fit any size child. Just fold the blanket in half, it does not matter which way, but some are shaped in such a way that if you fold them one way they fit, and they don't fit if you fold the other way. After the first fold, take the bottom, and fold it up about a third, adjusting to what fits your child the best. Pin and/or snappy and it will stay put!
