I will start by saying that I love Australorps. In fact, my very favorite hen is an Australorp. She is such a sweet chicken and just let's you walk right up to her to pick her up. She doesn't run...

Well down here, the temperature just dropped about 15 degrees in an hour. Weatherbug says the wind is mild and from the South but there is a cool breeze coming in my North windows. That's not so bad but those raindrops are ice cold.
Yeah we had a similar thing on the cool down. I will take cold over warm any day of the week, though. I can always put more stuff on if it's cold but there's only so many things I can take off when it's warm.

Hey Laura - I've got 2 Icelandic hens with babies, PLUS I have an incubator full of babies. Best thing I ever done was to buy this cabinet incubator. Wouldn't go back to any other kind.
SWEET!
I have 4 living incubators right now.
I think too many folks complained about the hot weather. It's cold now
Wait, you guys are saying it was 90 today? In our part of the state it was beautiful today. 74, light breeze, sun.
Right now at 8:35 pm. it is 65 degrees and 78% humidity. All of my chickens are huddled around the coop entrance and looking up towards the sky. There are sporadic sprinkles coming from the north that are ice cold. That is over here on this side of the state.
And, no Olive. At least for me today was wonderful, yesterday was Satan's Pit. I was just saying I'd take 65-70 and raining (today) over 94 and sunny (yesterday) any day of the week and literally twice on Sundays.
