Just an FYI for anyone who might be interested:

Foodsaver.com is running a sale on all FoodSaver units right now.  50% off any unit + free shipping.  It, apparently, even includes units that are already marked down.  I just bought the "Master Chef" kit, normally $317, marked down to $183, for $91.50

I don't think there is any risk, other than chick poop on the bottom of shoes. Taking shoes off before going into the house, or putting a shoe brush block by the doors should solve that issue.

So bummed I missed it. I just found out last night that they scheduled me to work. I was looking forward to meeting everyone. Post pictures if you can!

Plus.... 7 black copper chicks, 4 black americauna chicks, a trio of 6 month old black orphingtons and a trio of LF Lite Brahmas... And one lone silkie looking for some comrades. I have turned off the incubator until spring. Living the dream and praising God for his power and grace.

Just unpacked the truck...and no turkeys in there tongue2.gif

Though, Robin tried HARD to get one in there.

It was absolutely wonderful to meet new friends and see old friends and put faces to names :)

Thank you all for a wonderful time!

My hubby had a good time too- he agrees that all my chicken friends are great people.

I only came home with a rabbit...wee.gif

Of course, having my hubby there as my adult supervision helped.

Kayla is mad I didnt bring home the angora bunny she loved.

Did I mention I HAD self-control (with help)????

Think I should let hubby know we have eggs in the incubator on the table, yet?

Home here too after dropping chicks off to my mom and showing off the chicks we brought back.

For the life of me I can't remember who my oldest bought that frizzle from, with his own money so I couldn't be held responsible.  The same kid that grumped and groaned about "Why do we have to go to this chicken thing!?"...yep, even he wasn't immune.

lau.gif  That crazy chicken rode on his lap the whole 2 hour drive home.

Actually all my boys had a chicken on their lap on the way home.

M2 - I'll have you know that Isaac, the middle kiddo, claimed the uggo.  He calls it his vulture chicken and named it Drako...It's probably a boy so I'm sure the name will be fine.  Lol  Drako rode home on Isaac's lap and the dark brown chicken rode on Austin's lap.  They are in chicken love.  love.gif  They could NOT stop talking about Chimi either.  "Mom did you see the SIZE of that chicken!"  haha

They were also impressed with a jersey giant cockerel they saw too.  Man was that thing big!

Raz - Jacob(my son that was with me when I bought it) said your honey is the best he's ever had.  thumbsup.gif

OH!  And I actually ended up with one of Glambka's eggs!   ep.gif  I was even called near the end.  Couldn't believe it.  It's beautiful.

We really had a fantastic time.  The kids enjoyed playing in the creek, playing with water balloons, all the amazing food!  I enjoyed getting to talk in real life with a lot of you!  I know I didn't get to see everyone there but I tried to make my rounds!  Can't wait for next year!

Today was such a nice day with such awesome people! I'm glad we decided to go!!
BF had a very good time, and I appreciate all of you who listened to him babble on about wine.
We came home with more than we planned, the chicken math apparently translates into pheasant as well... lol

Thanks everyone for an awesome day, its too bad its only once a year.... but my yard is always open for campers smile.png

City Savvy turned Country Chic.... what was I thinking?  I have 1 amazing man, 3 Girls, 4 dogs, 20 Chickens,11 Ducks, 6 Turkeys, 1 seriously messy house and I couldn't ask for anything else. OK, maybe a cleaning fairy.....

Pretty much as soon as we pulled out of the lot, I had non-buyers remorse for not getting a few ducklings from Theron.  Ugh.  :(  Other than that terrible misstep, we all had a fantastic time - A huge thank you to who ever planned the kids activities - My boys had a ton of fun.  Good food, great people.  :)

What a fun day!  Was so nice to meet so many of you.  Had no intention of bringing anything home but...... somehow 4 chickens now have a new home here.  My 6 year old Jacob picked out 2 itty bitty chicks that he just loves has named one of them Sushi.
