No.  My chickens free range the yard all day.  They like to hang out under the deck and poop all over it.  I don't know how old your son is, but the only health issue would be if he tries to eat their poop!

Thank you SO much everyone that helped put the event together today. It was wonderful!

@Nigellas - I also have nonbuyers remorse but it was all my DH's fault. He wouldn't let me come home with a new angora. He mumbled something about the fact that I was going to breed mine so why buy anymore...Who asked him for facts and examples? #pout

I came home with way more birds than I brought to sell but Oh well...most of them are bantams (mostly silkies) and it takes about 3 of those to count as one full bird right? #chickenlogic #getbackatDHfornotlettingmebuyabunny big_smile.png

Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make CS happen! I wish we had been able to get there sooner, but I have totally unexpectedly been away from home for over a week now and things have just been insane. It was great getting to meet those I had a chance to, I missed a lot of people. sad.png

At least I got to steal a plant from Raz, (Thanks, Snowflake!) which helps to make up for him giving away all my hops plants. tongue2.gif lau.gif

And I still have no ducks! gig.gifOh, and whoever asked my daughter  if she wanted to bring a rooster home... that's cheating!!!

P.S. Couldn't you people write your names in super big, clear, bold print next year? BackyardFarmMom told me I was giving her funny looks.

BF had a very good time, and I appreciate all of you who listened to him babble on about wine.
We came home with more than we planned, the chicken math apparently translates into pheasant as well... lol
Ohh, ohh AND whoever's child that was that told me I was pretty.... can I keep her??? Mom2 I think it was one of yours!?!?!?
Thanks everyone for an awesome day, its too bad its only once a year.... but my yard is always open for campers smile.png

Thank you to your BF for bringing the wine...it was outstanding!!! and we definitely enjoyed talking to him about it.  We had an awesome time again this year and can't wait until next year....hopefully we will actually be able to bring home some chickens and bunnies!!  There sure are a lot of good cooks in this bunch, but man, what a lot of food.  Thank you to everyone who planned, attended, helped clean-up, entertained kids, etc.  We love this family-friendly event.

Ditto on the thanks to Opa, Granny and Hope. We do appreciate so much all the work you went to. Just organizing all the food in the pavilion was a lot of work - what a lot of food!  tongue.png
