Happy Friday, Everyone have a great day.

Here is a recipe I thought I'd share....The prefect summer drink. I haven't made it yet but sure am going to tonight!

Burnett's Orange Cream Vodka

Orange Juice and 7/UP

Suppose to taste just like a orange cream-cycle....you know, like the kind from the Good Humor Ice cream truck!

I've never been to one, what are they like?

9 Barred Rocks, 3 Buff Orpingtons,  3 RIR, 3 Black Jersey Giants, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 4 easter Eggers, 5 Pekins, 2 Cayugas, and 10 new assorted chicks-what am I doing?

Farmerboy, I haven't been on for a few days, so I don't know exactly what happened to your nephew, but I'll keep him in my prayers.

Thankfully all my birds survived the humidity through the night.  Today it's supposed to be 3 or 4 degrees cooler, but I'm still keeping my butt on the house!

I want to say I wish the best to those going through family hardships!!

I need some advice.

My muskovey hen has taken to living with the pigs. The first few nights we'd chase her out or take her out with the net, but for 2 nights now we've just let her stay in there. The pigs aren't bothered by her being in there and she seems to have no interest in being with the ducks. Do you think it's ok to just leave her there or should we clip her wings extra short and put up more wire to keep her out?

Too many chickens and ducks, 3 rabbits, 14 turkeys, 3 dogs and 2 beyond spoiled pot bellied pigs! Oh and 2 kids and one nearly perfect boyfriend!

I think her doctor is in denial. My mom did have dementia as did her sister. She pretty much lost her short term memory, would leave tea kettles on the stove till they melted, etc. Couldn't hold a conversation for longer than 5 minutes, kept asking the same questions over and over. Could remember stuff from before we were all born though. really sad. NO way near as bad as Alzheimer's though, watched a neighbor go through that, horrible. You may need to take your mom to see a specialist, her doctor seems more concerned with her physical health. Good luck.

What does she do? She picks up the pile I am amassing and brings them back into the boys room and dumps them cuz she didn't know why they were in the hall way but they were in the way.... WTH? The other day she asked me how long to boil eggs. Today she's cooking hamburger, and she just kept cooking it and cooking to the point where there was no more grease and the meat was drying out. I asked her to keep an eye on it a second cuz the birds were having a royal fit outside over something. Stray cat was back... didn't get it, but scared it off... well anyway, I came back in and she's still cooking the meat, and now its ruined, but she didn't know... There are other wacky things like that, and its getting worse, and her doc thinks I am exaggerating... Now I just yelled at her for being an idiot cuz I swear to God she's driving me nuts with this stupid idiot stuff!

Almost 80 degrees here, seems a little less humid though, stil have the windows open and the inside humidity is still only 55%, yesterday it was over 62% so it's an improvement. Would be nice to be able to leave the window a/c off, it doesn't work too well anymore anyway, it really just takes the moisture out of the air now, better than nothing I suppose. MY poor DH has gotten a head cold, he is not happy, he is almost never sick. I apparently had a mild one last week, just a sore through for 2.5 days, but I get sick more often (probably get another lousy sinus infection from it, too he.gif) but maybe I'll get lucky this time. But as I probably gave him this cold I suppose I must take care of him. what can one do when it's too hot for chicken soup?

2 dogs, lots of guineas and too many chickens. No uggos!
