Well dang it, you caught them before they could get here. Darn !! We had it all planned out too. lol.png

I used to feed the duck eggs back to the chickens when I'd have to many and no one buying. I do not have excess eggs here for too long now though. There is one lady who comes every other week and will buy 5-6 dozen if I have them, or what ever I have at the time. Another lady just stops randomly. I think I am going to have to get a bar fridge and start keeping eggs in the garage and put mine and the neighbors in it, so when I don't have enough for an order, his can pick up. I do not advertise now either. People just drive by, turn around and come back and ask. LOL. I am thinking though that I might go and buy a nice piece of wood, cut a chicken shape into it, and then paint it up and hang it from my mailbox post. It'll get more of my eggs and the neighbors sold. then.

At the very least, wipe the poop off your feet before getting in the car.

Oh yeah, one more question about the Ivermectin, sorry. I think someone said something about under the wings? Should I do a drop or two on the back of the neck, then a drop under each wing?

Nova - Thanks for the eggs offer, but, eh... I am not worried about a month without eggs... I hoped to get over it, but they totally freak me out still. I barely choke them down, they disgust me so much. If I am having something as straight forward as a fried egg, or scrambled, I hide them in a sandwich or roll them in a tortilla with salsa, heh. Then try not to think about it while I eat. And they have got to be cooked all the way through. My favourite when I was little was sunny-side-up, but the very thought of that now makes me want to spew. lau.gif Still hoping I will get accustomed to it again eventually. Starting to doubt it, though. I have a woodburning tool you can borrow if you want to use it on your sign.

Finally got hold of my sister, she's been walking. They keep her walking to avoid blood clots. Well anyway, they've gotten the results back from the testing and the drainage from the bile bags they put back in. Looks like the round y surgery is a bust. They'll decide thursday if they are just going to just cut half the liver off. Now to decide what hospital.

1 drop - OEGB sized small bantam female
2 drops - OEGB sized small bantam male
3 drops - average bantams
4 drops - large bantams, small commercial fowl
5 drops - most commercial fowl, small giant hens
6 drops - giant breeds of chicken

Hi Juise! The Vet at M.S.U. said 1 drop for bantams and 2 drops for standard size chickens. He made the comment of 'don't use paste' so I am assuming you have drops and not paste. He said if a chicken owner doesn't want to eat the eggs, please send them to him because he has no concerns at all about eating the eggs after giving Ivermectin.

Oh my, how about Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic?  Just google the phone numbers and call them.  Once I ran into a medical snafoo and went to Mayo Clinic. They took my insurance, cleared up the problem and the only expense I had was getting there and back.  I think your sister needs the big guns now......

FYI add to your vet list. Companion Animal in Shelby Mi will treat chickens. The vet there keeps chickens herself and is more than happy to do fecl/parasite test without having to take the bird in.

Thanks, CG! The pour-on I have is not paste, it is liquid. smile.png I would send him the eggs, but only if he'd cover shipping. Do you think I should e-mail him and ask? I still have the address saved. I wish I could just not worry about it, but I am not in the financial position to make that decision. hmm.png
