Could those of you who own Easter Eggers (or other mixes) post photos of your chicks growing up? It would be very interesting to see the before and after pictures of the chick turning into an adult.

Thanks!!

It just amazed me at how the EE's change as they grow. I got two EE's from my local feed store that ended up being roos. (Darn - no blue/green eggs for me).

They both started out looking like little chipmonks with the stripes on their backs and black around their eyes like they had eyeliner.

Then as they matured, the brown colored feathers were replaced with black, grey and white ones. They both then developed pea combs that sort of grew a tail (rose comb?).

And these were two chicks that I hatched from her eggs. Both have the same parents - my EE and my Silkie rooster.

*Sweet Cheeks* they are just gorgeous! I am sure they will father some nice chicks!

Year of the Rooster--they are simply stunning. I have a 2 day old chick that looks very similar to your girl...I hope she turns out as beautiful as yours!

I bought 2 Bantam EE's from Ideal last end of october

Here they are the day I got them (the 2 chipmunk striped ones)
The lighter one is sage and the darker one is saffron

Here they are today just under 1 year old, they started laying blue eggs at about 5 1/2 months old. At 7 months old they were both broody at the same time, now saffron is broody again for the second time this summer

ETA the best pic I have of both of them when they were broody in june, together... They are lost without each other so when sage went broody saffron had to be broody too
