Before I bought them I did not know that they are a mixed breed. I thought they were Araucana. I love them just the same. No eggs yet as they are babies.

This is a wonderful breed, so sweet and calm! They chatter, but it's very quiet. Mine are sweet little (big) lap chickens and very docile. One will just let you put her on your lap and...

You're in downtown SLC and have chickens? That's cool!

Yep, I can't even say sugarhouse. I'm clear downtown. The only requirements for having chickens here are you have to have a permit and your coop has to be 50 feet from your house or anyone else's house. Since the lots downtown are long and narrow and the houses are built right at the front of the lot, we had plenty of room. We even had a chicken coop inspection and we passed with flying colors. I have one neighbor I'm worried about. He complains about everything, but I'm legal and I double tripple checked before I got the chickens so I think he'll just have to learn to share our eggs. Hopefully that'll be enough for him to get over it.
OK, I am NOT in Utah, but we will be there this weekend for my nephew's baby blessing!! And DH and I are BYU grads, so I still feel a little bit Utahn. I'm majorly jonesing for a Hart's stop! (we always get the huge Diet Cokes and some Sweedish Fish!). My dad lives in Cedar Hills (Alpine area) and my sister lives in "Amarkan Fark" (or, for those outside Utah, "American Fork"). LOL!
My SIL lives in Provo, and we have several friends around there, too The rest of the family lives here in So. Cal, but we get up to Utah at least once or twice a year (usually for conference/Education Week/or whenever somebody has a baby!)
