I have had the metal cans for years outside. They are still working and don't look too bad.

OMG, If I hadn't already spilled my coffee all over myself, I would have spit it all over the computer. LOL
I like to run into them too.

My doe is doing well. she is putting up with me cleaning her leg twice a day. and putting on cream and giving her shots of antibiotic and spraying her with fly spray so they don't bug her too much. Sometimes she uses her leg and others it must be sore because she won't. Still hoping for the best. She is in a pen with 2 little kids so she is not alone. She gets nervous when all the girls go out front. I think she likes to keep an eye on them.
The neighbor said he was getting rid of the dog. Monday it was still there, so we called and made a report. The girls are better and will go out front to browse now.  I am still pretty nervous though.

Aw glad to hear she is hanging in there! Poor girl, and I am glad you made the report, less likely to have more problems down the road. People need to watch their dang dogs! If they can't they should not have them.

Yep, every time someone moves into the trailer across the street, we have problems with the dogs. One attacked mike a few times, and was just plain mean. these guys have one in a small kennel and the white one is tied in front of the house. I have never seen them out. Which bothers me as much as them coming after my animals.

On good news Jessi's old english started laying the cutest little creamy white eggs. I will get some pics this morning.

Just wondering at what time do you put your younger chicks in with the older chickens? Are older ones are around 5mon and the younger are 2 mon.

If they are used to seeing each other, try for awhile each day and then separate at night for a few days.

Here is a pic of Miss Maybelle after her treatment this morning....She is very mad at me.
