Svlr...those are just darling!   Sounds like you "listen" really well when someone speaks up on a good subject.  wink.png  Some for you, some for the boss, and some for the kiddos.  Way to go.  What colors are those Polish? Are they blue..or..?

Phoenix---that polish is the cutest thing EVER!!! It totally has a beard----looks like the old five o'clock shadow..needs a shave. Love it. Now I want that color lol. So so so cute. Glad to hear Henree and Snape have called a truce. Maybe the change of scenery freaked 'em out and they decided to be allies. That is good to hear! Love the other chicks too...so cute.

Cynthia--those EE's are too cute. What caused the foot swelling...is that common?

Not really swelling I guess..but they come out with puffy feet, like a newborn baby (ours) comes out all puffy and swollen.  Not sure anyone else has noticed that about the feet when they first hatch.  Some are more so than others.  The puffiness goes down after a while.

A Golden Laced Polish..that's going to be pretty.   I think it looks like it has a mask on..the bandit mask!   big_smile.png

idunno.gifSmall question for the group. I have read many conflicting thing about feeding chickens. 0-6weeks starter 6-16weeks grower 16weeks on layer foods. Another source say 0-8 week starter 8-first lay grower then layer food. Even another say 0-10weeks starter 10-20weeks grower 20weeks on layer food.  I did find source that said 0-till they are out of brooder and outside starter then grower to first lay then layer.

So what have many of you been doing?  We are at the 6 week mark and I had planed to put then in their coop and outside in 2 more weeks.yesss.gif

Any and all ideas will be useful.
