Yeah I've read that on here but am not sure if it's safe. -_-

PLEASE Hatch and be a GIRL!!! PLEASE!!!!

I don't mean to be neg..but maybe you should candle it soon, to see if it is a double yolker.  When they are, they usually don't make it, one may start, the other not, then mother natures says..oh oh, something wrong, and the started chick quits.  Candle it after it's been in for 24 hrs..you may see in there better.  Plus, you may see two bullseyes..then you will know, two babies. It's up to you at that point as to whether you want to give them a chance.   Sure is pretty.  Those marans can lay nice sized eggs.  EE's and Ameraucanas lay a med. egg.  What are the others?  Pretty colors too!

Those blues are a nice size, I would say larger than the usual med size for the breed.  Wow.  Ha, Lisa is incubation, Lisa is incubating!!   :))

Cynthia! Sindie found her way into the coop and is nestled tightly and comfortably in the nest box on the 4 eggs you saw...Has she laid today or is she finally wanting to settle down to brood....Hope she sets :) I'll give her my duck eggs. That would be so cute to see Sindie with 5 little duckies :)

She did lay today!   That's interesting, since she just got moved.  She's been making those cute little cluck cluck sounds, and now that?  Wait and see if she stays on there in the morning.  Wow, lucky you.  She's big enough to set on Duck eggs..lol...

They are all huge, I am surprised her eggs are all that big. Even the Wheaten Am--those blue ones are XL compared to my store eggs---way bigger than the large we got to dye....and the brown are a tad bigger even, there were three this size. The tan ones are just a little bigger than large from the store, about the size my GSL used to lay....those are Blue orpingtons. I need to find out what she feeds her chickens lol! Here is a blue next to the brown. Hope the chicks are not little monsters lol but I do hope they turn out to be girls that lay this big!

Quote:Well she is broody for sure. She's yelling at my Cochin who went in to see her lol. The baby you gave me is happy playing with my other teens. I moved them into the rabbit hutch and put the pen on the front of it so they have an extra 4 feet to play in. She's too cute and I'm thinking of names :) I want to choose a greek goddess name :) I've been naming all of my new chickens after greek gods and goddesses :) (In case you didn't know, I'm a huge Greek Mythology fan) lol

ep.gif Oh my goodness..that does put them into perspective!   Well then, you are going to have some very large babies, that's usually a good thing.  I know I've had some pretty big EE's before.  Really big girls.  If you get a blue egg from these, not only will you get your blue, but you will get BIG BLUES!
