Love the pictures, Lisa!  That goat is so darling.

I think that you have a serious hatching addiction.  Speaking of, I'm going to set eggs tomorrow for the 2nd grade (bwahahaha! Pot, meet kettle!).  Still not completely sure of what breeds to get. I think I'll do 2-4 coronation sussex, maybe a marans, maybe a mille cochin or two, and maybe a couple olive eggers, or maybe a barred rock. -sigh- Just can't decide.

Hatch Cam goes live approx 5/21. Hatching 7 legbars http://www.ustream.tv/channel/wendywr1

I have 25ish chickens, including legbars, coronation sussex, FBCM, polish, ameraucanas, EE and OE

Heard from my seller, sounds like she genuinely did not notice about the toes. It really could have happened in transit I suppose. The callouses might just be she walked funny to start with, who knows **sigh** So I am trying not to be mad, things happen. I was just sooooo excited this has taken the air out of my sails. A little. I am pretty resilient. And there are more important, bigger fish to fry. And it is beautiful outside today. AND I let the new girls out of the cage just to see, and nobody is bothering them at all. If anything they are being stinkers to the others....so that is one less worry. Okay the wind is back in my sails. I was being a stinker too, cannot be having that! Thank you for allowing me to work this all out in my head on here big_smile.pngbig_smile.pngbig_smile.png
So now that we are happy again---Sasha when you get up and rolling I would love to see some cute baby pics! We lost a few that were truly ready to hatch and just did not pip. Not sure why! But the three she has are ADORABLE and teensy weensy. I cannot wait to see them on here.
I set the blue eggs in my bator last night, looks like memorial Day weekend will be camping close to home. These are nice! Not as big as the ones I had from pawtraitart---a little bluer though---I can still see a twinge of a green tint, but there are two that I really am liking alot smile.png

Hey Don't feel too bad about your new girls...I am 98% positive that mine is a Rooster, Considering how he took after my rooster when I tried putting him in my run. Only a rooster fights like that. LOL...Now I gotta figure things out...He is really pretty.

It was great having you both over though, we should do that more often!

17 Nigerian Dwarf Goats, 3 Ameraucana, 3 Cuckoo Marans, 3 FBCM, 3 Blue Breasted Red Old English, plus the 2 shih tzu, and our mutt Tate, and 2 cats and 10 kittens. (anyone want a kitten?)

Nope Sasha is going to play with those smile.png She is really liking banties. Depending on my flock size, I am weeding through a few snotty girls and what not, maybe I will try a banty from her. Maybe.... those eggs in the picture are Donna's and my new blue ones.

I was messaging with the girl with the FBCM. She says she thinks she will have some I could get from her in July. Started ones (8+ weeks old I think, she is hatching some this week) I mentioned I knew people looking for a pair for breeding, and asked for the price---will pm you to see if you are interested, I could bring them back for you. I am getting 2 girls I hope. I was pretty excited it could still work, she was really trying. Those are the crazy big dark eggs. They are a little pricey due to being grown out, but sure saves the headache of trying to guess. smile.png It sounds so awful but I really would rehome a few of my layers if I have to so that I can have room for those....I have a couple that I could sell to a lady that just started and was asking about buying layers......I have 7 laying now, but it won't be too long before I have these new wheatens laying, and my lavender---my EE's ....all should lay by the end of July---- so if I got these FBCM pullets and replaced a few older layers it would be fine. (hear the justification and chickenmath going through my head)

I am finally getting some eggs from winning that contest for the Easter Hatch A Long.  I was supposed to get 12 FBCM's eggs, but I saw that she had a blue Ameraucana over EE's for sale, shot a PM to her asking if I could get those instead.  So, we deicided on 8 of the EE's, and 6 of the FBCM eggs.

She's sending them out tomorrow.  Yaay.

Wonderful family, very understanding husband when it comes to chickens, dogs, birds, one big Golden Retriever, and thankful to the Lord for all!

I hear it!  I hear it all the time in my head!  Guess what I did?  I decided not to give "that guy"  this week to come and get chicks.  I sold all ten yesterday.  They are gone, and to a good friend that keeps me in touch as to what is going on.  I see her often, she up north too!  :)

Cynthia good for you! I am proud of you. I should have taken those orps with me, I had pms from a few different people. I was mad at myself for not doing it. If not tomorrow, then I told one lady she had first dibs. They are just way too nice of birds to sit around like this smile.png On to the next batch....right on!

Oh, man!  I think you have pretty smiles in these pictures, I'm the one that looks like a maniac!  LOL

Our new Ameraucanas are so pretty, but I'm just floored about your one girl's feet. hmm.png

Howard said "We've got all the chickens we're going to get for this year.  Mmmm, maybe.  LOL  If you hatch a wheaten or blue wheaten splash that is as pretty as Slvrphoenix/Blujems, I'm gonna be first in line if you want to sell.  big_smile.png

Gonna go upload some pics in a few minutes.  I've been super busy today, after taking yesterday off.  When you have as many critters and projects as we do, it's never-ending.  th.gif

Sasha It was nice meeting you.  What did you dust your chicks with?  Did that little polish need it.

Hi Slvrphoenix,

I dusted them with DE.  I didn't see anything that would make her need it, but just dusted them "just because".  I dusted my own birds last week, and I think Lisa did too, so the new two birds had the spa treatment too.  wink.png
