My "professional" opinion is that you don't even want to get IN that thing.  Who knows what went on in there, and what residues might remain.  (If they ripped out the panels and put on 7K miles, that sounds like drugs.)  And you will not be confident in the engine if you're hearing problems.

yeah they go broody. its not fertile because i do not have a male and even if i did i would not breed them, its too much work with the hand feeding and all and plus i am all about rescue. my sister has a teil that is sitting on 23 eggs right now... it is such a pain when they do this, i cant hold them, they are super hormonal, she is trying to feed me a lot more than normal, she wants me to help take care of our babys... yeah its a pain and its very risky when they do it, its so easy for them to become egg-bound and they would die after minutes of becomeing egg-bound. plus its not like a chicken where you can replace them easy, it would cost me $500 to get a baby of the same breed and even then its a 50 50 shot of them liking you... yeah i am not happy she went broody sad.png

Oh poor parrot  What kind is she.  My Parrot would feed me she thought I was her mate and she laid eggs from time to time.  Hated my hubby.  Chased him all over.  I donated her to WAES when were living in out motorhome because I could not take her with me into Mexico and no one would tend her for  months at a time.  She was a Panama Amazon.  I had her  years.  It was really hard to give her up

Thank you all for your opinions and support. Honestly, I'm so sad to see the truck in this state, but I'm hoping the insurance declares it totaled. I won't say which illegal substance it was here, because I don't remember the forum rules on that kind of content, but the stuff the kid was on when the cops got him is very bad stuff. Like, the kind that you have to strip the interior of a house and redo it if the substance is found in there. Gives me the willies.

Birdman, which parrot went broody? That's actually kind of cool, though in a not fun way. I kind of feel for you. At least two of my pullets are throwing teen tantrums. I'd call it PMS if I didn't know better, lol. They're 19 weeks old, so I hope that's a promising sign. And I hope they clam down. Yeesh!

Edit: Raaaa, I keep forgetting to answer this! I think the kid IS 18 or older - we found a document in the truck where he is claiming unemployment from another state.

Red--if that 'stuff' was in there i cannot imagine them not totalling it. It is a health hazard. If the kid was uninsured then yours should cover on the uninsured motorists portion. What bad luck you two had to cross paths! Hoping you get a nice shiny new ride out of the deal at the very least......

What a pretty egg!  Love it!  Your black EE girl is pretty, too.  My 2 Wyandotte girls have turned really red in the face.  No squatting yet though.  Hedwig (Ameraucana) is just now turning pink.  So soon, I shall have some egg layers.  :)  Can't believe I have all these chickens, and none of them lay.  Oh well, I love them all.
