Cynthia, amazing pictures, but scary!  I'm so sorry all of you down in that area have to deal with that.  :(  My DH's cousin posted pictures on FB tonight of the smoke they're dealing with.  Looks very similar to your pics.  :(

Hattie-congrats on the hatch!  What nice looking babies!

Gorgeous babies Hattie! Now to figure out what the heck they will be huh!! Love them. I really hope I can get a frizzle again if mine does not work. So fun, huh!

Sasha, thanks for the offer on your pretty girl! But she is yours, you should keep her she is gorgeous. We may try another one but will probably get a chick, and now he really wants a frizzle. I need to talk to my son and let him decide what to do if this one is a boy smile.png Will let you know for sure!

Those fires are awful! i can see crud in the air clear up here in the North, we had a BBQ tonight will all of our kids, and our eyes were all stinging. So sad for everyone it is affecting. I would pray for rain but my crawlspace is getting groundwater again (irrigation by us i think?!)
SO I just will pray for those fires to stop.

Annnnddddddd..........my neeeeewwwwwssss.....wee.gif
DRUMROLL!!!!!!

Both my older daughters are pregnant, at the same time, we are going to have two more grandkids in Dec or Jan. HOORAY! That will make 6. SHeesh, we had three two months ago, so with the new one just born and two more we will have doubled our grandkids in a short 7 months! Totally unexpected but exciting!

Lisa that is such great news! Grandkids are the best. You are going to pass me up I only have four. You are one young looking grandma! So happy for you.

I'm so sorry the smoke is affecting everyone so badly. I hope they will be able to contain the fires soon. One started here in the town of Leeds just before you get to St.George. It is going to be a bad year for fires. Lots of dry hot and windy days.

So Lisa talk to your boy and let me know if you want to try another Polish and Sasha did you?
I wish I new what colors they were going to be. I think you wanted a chocolate? Not sure if i got one of those this time either. Anyway just let me know what you decide. I can do whatever chicken shuttling anyone needs. I'm heading to Idaho Falls again the 2nd or 3rd of July. My 86 year old mother will be having surgery on both her of her knees and i will be taking care of her for awhile. I'm so hoping this goes well for her.
My little flock consists of a bantam WC cuckoo Polish, 3 little Silkies( black, white and partridge), a bantam buff Cochin and a bantam mottled Cochin.

I never thought a vacation would be so hard. I am in London for 2 weeks and spend more tome worrying about and talking about my chickens! Geesh! What am I going to do when I have to leave in October and that is when they are due to lay for the first time? Good thing this is a family project and my sons are around hahaha

New "mother hen" and loving every minute of it.  What started out as a family project with my sons has turned into a new obsession. 17 chicks and 2 dogs living in an urban area.... Yahoo!

Are you taking all the chicks with you? Also Daloorashens from IF might come this way as well smile.png How long will you be in IF?

Hattie, was it mycutekitties you got your polish from? Her stock is AMAZING! I saw some pics and my jaw dropped. The roosters are crazy beautiful.

I will be staying about a week then another sister will take over. I have three sisters who will be helping care for her at different times. So that is good. I hope and pray the replacements don't fail!! So sorry that happened for you.

I'm not bringing any of the chicks with me unless you or Sasha still want one. My sister can't decide she has so many little chicks. She just hatched 5 more too! Here is a picture of your babies as of a week or so ago. She sent me this picture.
