Need your advice for a price on these

I started making shell boxes and everyone I have shown them to tells me I should sell them. I was just wondering what you think about them and how much I should price them at. Thanks for your help.

VERY pretty!

I use shells in my collages. What kind of adhesive are you using?

As for pricing...where would you be selling them? Craft fair? Etsy shop?

Thank you very much.  As for where I would be selling them, I really have no idea. I was just trying to find out if it would even be worth trying to sell them.  The boxes are around $4.00 for the 6" x 6" plain wood and the 12" x 8" depending on how they close (magnet or lock) are between $8-$12. The shells depend on what type you get. The cut shells on the lid of the second box are $1.50 a piece and there are 6 on that box. The large cones on the second and  third boxes are $3.00 a piece. Most of the others are bought in bulk for anywhere between $4.00 1/2lb to $8.00 1/2lb.
Wifezilla, I use just plain ol' superglue. Then I spray on a couple of coats of non-yellowing clear spray paint to give them a nice shine.

They are beautiful and I would do a local craftsman fair near the holidays to sell them.....cheaper pricing reflects your idea that the product is cheaper..I wouldnt sell them for less than twenty dollars.  With a nice table setup at a fair near the holidays you should have no trouble..maybe even go as high as $25.00 ..check etsy.com for some comparables....mailing would be a nightmare though, I can see broken shells or at least claims of broken shells, dont send anything without making the buyer pay for insurance and delivery confirmation.  Good luck!! Very creative and beautiful...now you need to take a trip to the outer banks in north carolina and pick up your own shells to cut your costs, lol!! ROAD TRIP!!

Those are the prettiest boxes i have ever seen.  You talk about wow.  I would price them from $ 25.00 clear up to $ 50.00.  In a gift shop they would probably put $ 75.00.  When i went to Aruba i didnt see anything that pretty.   If they were mine i dont think i could sell them.  I would have them behind glass in a cario cabinet or something.

You could make a living selling those....but i couldnt sell them.

I have to go look at them again.

Those are beautiful!  Your designs are just so awesome.

You need to make sure that you take your time into account when you price them.  I honestly would consider that art and I think the minimum price should be no lower than $35 for the smallest box, if they are made out of wood.  $25 if out of cardboard.  Whole sale prices would be different, but maybe you would do well on a consignment.

Good luck, those are the prettiest ones I've ever seen.
