Silkie cochin mix

400
This is my roo and one of the 1f generation grey hen.

Little late to the game, but I have a question...

Long-story short - I have two smooth-feathered chicks from a silkie pen which housed all silkie-feathered Showgirls, Silkies, and a couple frizzle/sizzles (what's the difference between a frizzle and a sizzle - is there one?)....

So, I assume my two smooth-feathered chicks are offspring of the frizzle/sizzle.
Bred back to a pure Silkie - what would they produce? Smooth, Silkie, and Frizzle?

And if they both end up as cockerels - would there be anyone interested in one (or both) of them for their frizzle/sizzle program if they are typey enough? (Not a show-er -- just got into chickens this year, actually; so I'm not 100% what to look for in a correct type/to the standard chick or chicken)

Thanks!

Hi, I have 2 silkies a cockerel and a showgirl hen, also in that pen I have 3 hybrid Cochins. Now 2 cochina lays eggs and the showgirl. I hatched 5 little eggs from all of the hens and it happens to be that all of them are silkies. How that happened idk, so idk if that theory about mixing regular feather chickens with silkies will give you regular feather chicks, is false. Idk it's just my hybrid Cochins are a mix of silkies as well. So all the chicks I've been hatching are silkies. Or maybe because the Rooster is a silkie and is stronger gene. I don't really know, but I'm happy that all I've been hatching are silkies and showgirls. I hope it helps you.

I have a gorgeous white frizzle rooste and Millie (calico) Cochin bantam I hope the chicks turn out as pretty as the parents are. They are yellow chicks .
