The ULTIMATE list of DUCK Treats and Supplements...

I think for a common generalized list that was a great list of foods and treats just like every human every animal can react in a different way life is all about test and trial! Everyone just needs to research! Then just watch their prized pets behaviors and reactions closely and everyone will be happy! TY Jennifleur!

I think their fine too. Jojo eats them daily when outside and he's perfect! Lol, I was just curious after reading this.

LOL. I know where you're coming from. I found one of ours nibbling on some chives when we moved a fence to rearrange some things on the deck, and I was like, "GAAA! SPIT IT OUT! SPIT IT OUT!" I probably did more damage to it by scaring the pee out of it than the chives would have done even if he'd eaten more. Many of these things aren't a reason for panic if they're only consumed in small amounts, but of course I wouldn't recommend that any plant that's potentially harmful be left unprotected for ducks to eat as they chose.

I felt the same way after the Pancake Incident

Happy I found this thread. I've been looking for information on Black Australian Swans. I have a pair 1 year old that are backyard pets. Would think what applies to ducks may apply to swans since they are both waterfowl. Regarding tomato plants...my peafowl eat the leaves all the time as well as the tomato and hasn't hurt them. If you waterfowl folks can give me some tips on my swans I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
