Chiropractic ?!!!

I used to work for NECA IBEW Welfare Trust Fund as a medical claims processor for ten years until they downsized the office from 55 people to 20 some folks and most of our paperwork is almost non existence. Last time I processed, we always denied OR pay as 50 percent payments on the CHIRO claims and I'm just sitting there like those poor workers have to suffer paying out of pocket which I know its deemed medically necessary. I dont know if they have changed now to anything better. Glad I left that place for good with all the rash about losing profits and blah, blah, blah...jeez! We became union after Larry Lawler was terminated from our facitility....I have always liked him but politics rules.....or whose butt you are kissing with LOL! Funny we do had coverage for Lasix eye surgery as medically necessary and so many claims been processed that in two years or so and then the committee decided it is NOT medically necessary and yanked it out. Same for birth control......so much for that! I certainly dont like doing some of the claims ppppppppppssssssssssttttttttttttt, pay this claim anyway, he's VIP while the other members get denied for the same darn thing. Everything is electronically paid now.....

Anyway, I sure do like the guys working out there...all good guys and gals!

You would need to see the chiro anyway if you have not done so or what others have suggested to visit the orthos. I dont know if accupuncture works. Good luck on your treatments! I wish mine would cover for my scatic nerve damage caused from delivery and had to have emergency C section. Messed me up good and PT helped for a little bit but it kept coming back. I just sit there and grit my teeth with all the political reasons and bulls from Medicare. Go figure!

As far as acupuncture goes... call me crazy, but one of my horses with body issues gets regular chiro supplemented with acupuncture and it works WONDERS for her.

She had so many treatments for her issues that nobody could pinpoint- it was utterly ridiculous. We were grasping for straws and getting air until we tried chiro/acu. As long as she gets her chiro every 5-7 weeks and her acupuncture when the chiro isn't 'sticking' very well, she does great.

I might give it a try; you may have to do the acu a couple of times and the chiro several more before you see results though.

Ewesheep ..... I definetly know what you're talking about on the politics and butt kissing . But for all of the bad , the good stuff shines through . It's just that now a days nobody cares about the Union . Their attitude is "what can the Union do for me ?" Not " the Union is helping me so I'll help back " . Nobody goes to meetings and unfortunately that means that motions are getting passed that may not be beneficial to us . Enough of that kinda talk , I could go on for hours about it too .

Our insurance covers 80% of our expenses on chiropractic . Unfortunately they don't cover alot of other things . But our health insurance is one of the crappiest of the other districts . Thanks for the info and reply !!

Bluerose...... I will try accupunture as soon as I see the results from my MRI on wed. Thank you for the info . I too know people who have taken their horses in for that and swear by it . Many a farrier will also tell you that your horse has not been trimmed right by feeling along their spine and finding the tender spots .
