Yes, they say anything higher than 19% protein is just waste on adult guineas, with keets they recommend 22% or higher protein.

My first 2 chicks of the season, BCM and ? . I have Penedsesnca partridge and BCM eggs, don't know if the copper one is a Marans or a Penedesenca chick. Three more Partridge Pened's hatched and 2 more BCM. None of them look like the copper one... (now called Penny).marans chick copper color.JPG

good morning,  I am working on photos..

If you have that on hand ,, feed it to the guineas..  anything that you feed to the chickens is OK for guineas..

this hatch is going strong.. I will be transferring chicks to the brooder this afternoon..  many  of them..

Afternoon All...Hope things improve for everyone....tough to hear all the not so great news with everyone's critters.

I'll be removing the turner and increasing the RH later today....gonna be a small hatch this time around.... tossed mostly clears. I guess I shoulda kept one of the young bucks that are in the freezer, oh well I can seperate the blues and do a bator of those sometime in the near future. I'm hoping for a cockeral buck in this hatch for next year's breeding.

Nice pics...keep em coming!

Afternoon All!

I had a dental appointment this morning in Madison.  Cleaning and replacing my last old filling.  My mouth is numb on one side so eating is interesting and I should have found a straw to drink from.  I think I'm wearing more Sweet Tea then actually drinking it! LOL!

The critters are all well and I've got the bunnies and chickens all battoned down for the storm.  I hear a little thunder now....

Thanks for all the well wished for Emmie.  I have a message from the vet.  The CBC blood clotted so now CBC, put the urinalysis came back with some abnormalities.  Elevated liver enzymes so I need to call them back.

TO-I like that black horse.  He's got a kind eye. The Chestnut looks a little more determined.

DrH-Yeah...I have to laugh at BTB antics too.  It'd either that or cry.....lol.png

Ok I'm gonna go call the vet...
