"OUR BEAR" just rambled across our field about 200 yrs out....it can go back to whereever it came from anytime now......these regular visits are making me a tad uncomfortable!!!!

Super jealous, as much time I as spend outside and in the country, I still have not ever seen a bear in the wild...really kinda pisses me off, but not so much that I go camping in bear territory,  I might be dumb, but I'm not an idiot.l

FT.... could you get a 4-H or High School kid to do it? You CAN'T miss the bash! If all else fails ..... you have a horse trailor don't you? Just bring 'em all along! idunno.gifgig.gif

BBP...... DUCKLINGS!!!! love.gif

Storkey I got from Jim at the bash last year.... she's a Thai hen. When I went to lock up I found one of her chicks in with the roos again! This time I don't know how it got in, thought I fixed any holes. I have good boys... didn't touch it! We figure it must be a pullet and they were waiting for it to grow up! roll.pngtongue.png

Here's the black Cochin....Pepper... I had to use the flash so she's kinda' shiny.

This little lady is Speckels ....She was the only pullet out of the 5 that Lacy hatched. I think she's pretty.... different if nothing else!

Fatso is home! He has to go back tomorrow, but he is home for the evening so that he is less stressed out and eats more that a teaspoon of food. I got him to eat about a tablespoon so far. I'll try again before I go to bed. He still feels like garbage, but that is to be expected until his glucose and liver enzymes return to normal.

The really ROTTEN thing I have to report is that the band teacher is LEAVING! This was her first year here and she has been FANTASTIC!!!!! These kids have been through the wringer with band teachers, in 5 years they have had 4 different teachers..... and now they get another new one. They really liked this one, she won them all over..... there was a lot of crying at the school today, and now all of my kids want to quit. I wonder what the heck is going on over at this school sometimes, and if there will be any kids left in band next year.

My calls decided to go on a little flight around the neighborhood this evening.... and for a reward they are now grounded.

I have a few photos from my trip to High Cliff, but I think I want to wait to show them..... I would like to see all of them first and pick out a good one.

Later!

Bl4... Why were you getting pictures done anyway? Just curious.... Very glad fatties home.

Mazo... You should do lots of finger crossing! I had to toss a few more last night. I'm just so nervous that no others will hatch. Then our new baby will be all alone. I don't have any pictures yet. It's still in the Bator all by itself, chirping away. But I couldn't stand it and had to go hold it. I am so in love!!! Your girlfriend will die when she sees one!

Cind... Nice chickies. I love the big fluffy britches on your Cochin. Pretty speckles too.

MLH... So are you really going to share some Icies with me?! How much do you want a chick?

I know there is more to say, but my brain has quit working for a moment!

good eve,  the captured peahen layed egg #3 today..  I want to put her into the small lean to so that we can maybe get her boyfriend to go in with her..  that will mean that about 15 chickens will have to find a new place to roost.. In the chicken coop perhaps?  all of the turkeys roost in the chicken coop.. what a F*&^ed  up operation I am running here..

did I mention that the second cockatiel egg hatched ?   Annie located two more BIG bird cages.. I am picking them up tomorrow..  TerriO, do you think the cage we have is too small for 5 birds ? Me neither..  I swear, one of these days a couple of those birds are going to "escape" out the patio door..  and they can take the guinea pig with them..

I noticed that one of the buff geese was not with the other 3 tonight..  I am hoping that it was hanging with the adult greys..

BIL is bringing my large live trap back tomorrow,,(if he doesn't forget)

I didn't actually do much today.. but I did a lot of planning in my head..   I am so tempted to plant the corn, but I know in my heart that it is still too early..  so I decided to wait until the potatoes are up.. that will give me about another week..

I know I had some comments..  blank blank blank..  maybe a corona will jog my mind..

Oh crud I lost a bunch of replies I came back to from this morning...  tongue.gif    All of that wit, just gone.  I'll bet you are so sorry!  Well you're just going to have to suck it up I guess...

Thanks TO!  Well I'm going to have to get my spidey senses tuned up so I can just show up on your doorstep the next time you put together a meal like last night's!  Dang!  That's Annie's chastened-but-still-about-to-burst-she's so-excited smile.  Oh I want to see a pic of little T's Vulture hocks!  Oh wait never mind, I'll just see them around dinnertime tomorrow night...

Aw, CC I'm so sorry to hear.  It sounds as though she wasn't in distress if she was in the middle of a dustbath, right?  How weird and uncalled for. sad.png

BBP I hope tonight's a better night for the peeps!  Bummer...  Love the pic of Mama Duck and the fluffernutters. love.gif

FT, Apple Pie Shots!  wee.gifand then no doubtth.gif  hmmm, maybe a half an apple pie shot since my lil girl will be there... I'm such a lightweight.  And yes, what Cind said about your horse trailer/chicken camper.

What a marvelous flock Cind!!!  Love!       Not to mention the fluffy black butt photo bomb.

Yay Big Fam with your duckling!!!!!!!

That Low Fat cat name is HILARIOUS Amyable!  Cottage Cheese and maple syrup on crepes... oooooooooooo.  Wow! Neat you could chat with an amish person!  Too bad they have the circumstances where they need to go back.

So glad Fattie is getting those levels closer to healthy, BL ♥  I remember going through something similar with my kitty.  Nope, no fun at all.

EL, I love your running girl pic smile.png

Fun to see you on here again Tiki!  frow.gif  You may want to talk to UnkaDan with your 'mater questions!

GAH, Raim!  Those tent caterpillars?!  Nasty!!!!!!   HATE those things, and I'm not a hater!  Wouldn't ever wish anything dead by torching but GAH! I HATE 'em!

Hmmm, I don't believe I ever need to see a bear in the wild, Mazo.  But ya know, whatever trips yr trigger smile.png  Hopefully one day you'll see your bear!   Hearing coyotes howling at night is about my speed.  Thrills me to pieces whenever I hear them ...usually while camping.

Nuh Nights!

BigFam, I have been a photographer and interested in photography for a very long time (I was on yearbook staff in HS and did a lot of photography and film development). I have many many many pictures but nothing that I have entered into contests like Amyable since I do not have the editing software that I would like to have. Since I am always the person behind the lens, there are few pictures of me. I have a friend who is a budding photographer and since he needs practice and I need pictures.....  The purpose for the last shoot was to find some locations for our next 'big' shoot with my sis and our spouses.

Off to bed for me. Night all.

Bl4... so glad your kitty is home! It may take a while to get the meds right, dose with people too.... but he should be fine now that you know what's wrong.

Jim... you must have birds at every turn! LOL Sometimes thinking is the most exhausting thing to do!

Night All!

Morning!  It's is a gorgeous sunny morning!  love.gif  Not even windy today!  It was a bit chilly yesterday.  Hopefully today I can get out and plant another round of lettuce and spinach and finally get the celery in the ground.  I love working in the garden.  It makes me happy.  I can't believe the peas and tatsoi that I planted back in March when we had that 80 degree weather!  It's my first year planting both and I honesty thought they'd freeze out, but they didn't!  The herbs are lookin' good too!  I was surprised to see that the Parsley came up!  I thought I'd need to replant it since I planted it so soon but it's coming out now!  Dill, thyme and oregano too!

Gonna get the kids started on their schoolwork and hopefully take a nap today.  I was up way too late talking on the phone to my sister in law in TN.
