When I was dating my DH he hit a buck driving me home one night. I thought I would save one of the antler prongs as a souvenir. Little did I know that deer like to roll in Poison Ivy.... I ended up with it all over my face and neck. One eye swelled shut and I had Mick Jagger lips..... BAD BAD BAD! I am amazed I am not all scarred up from that little bout! On top of that we had Homecoming the next Saturday!

Anyone who took the Lavender soap and the shampoo, it will not be ready for use until the end of June.

Bad business with the cat...... I hate making decisions like this. Poor baby was down to 7.14 lbs.... he once weighed in at 19. All the kids were bawling when I talked to them before taking him in, and then again after we came home without him. I chickened out and could not stay with him.... I would have been a sobbing mess. As it is now, I look like I had a collagen injection in both upper eyelids and I am related to Rudolph.

Made a campfire tonight so the kids could make s'mores. Wanted to let them do something fun on such a sad day.

So, so terribly sorry! I know that pain all too well. I wish I had words that would help. Hugs to you and your family.  hugs.gif    hugs.gif    hugs.gif    hugs.gif

BL4-I'm sorry to hear about your cat....hugs.gif It's a hard decision but in the end it's the kindest act of love we can give a beloved pet....My thoughts are with you and your family...

BigZ- I knew there was a reason I bought a two year pocket calendar filled with rooster pictures!  It was so I could mark down next years Bash and have the whole year to wait.....and wait......and wait......LOL!!

So tonight I went to a Chicken 101 seminar given at the Milton Library by a nice lady from the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.  While I knew most of items she went over there were a few things I learned.  It's always nice to keep learning.

Other then that, everyone is fine here! I have some pics from the Bash to post but I have to get the camera from the car and I'm in my jammies so I'll post them tomorrow.

Oh, I apologize if I got in anybody's way over the weekend.  hide.gif  I know I take up a lot of real estate, and I'm sorry if I caused any problems. I tried to avoid the high traffic areas as best I could. At least I didn't run over anybody's kids, right Bigfam?  wink.png

You mean the tiny cup that was always empty & everyone had to keep filling? That is Bionic Beyotch to you, missy!  gig.gif  Yes, I have the waterer with your cage, and the tiny empty cup, and Jim's feeder. When ya coming to get it?  big_smile.png

The chickies are doing very well, BTW. Weren't too sure about all the cats at first, but they have settled in quite nicely. They were quite calm on the ride home too. Good thing DH did a good job packing up the car so they would fit. We also had to squeeze in 2 bags of feed that we bought from Bigz. Yikes!  ep.gif

He did have his horns burned before I bought him, and thats normal. But he either scratched it too hard or got his head caught in something ans scraped it. His back foot was covered in blood from him scratching. What a dork.
