Amy looks just like the ruffed grouse chick I had in front of the mower the other day . That's my vote! Vic what don't you have little rain coats for them? lau.gif

Can't scratch the itch inside of my head, even though there's plenty of room for my hand.

My vote is ruffed grouse too.  Only "critter" they look like to me.  We get them in our field every spring.

Hi all...Amy not quail...I think Grouse too.  They dont look like my neighbors' pheasants.

Talked with Dan for a bit this morning--until my phone was dying.  I think I need a new battery.  It sure doesnt stay charged for long anymore!

13 more goslings hatched last night.  I think I only have one more female on the nest.  Guess I better get back on CL and list some birds.  If I wasnt so lazy I bet I could sell LOTS of stuff on there.

Oh shoot...dogs barkin; guess I'd better feed them. Past their dinner time! I picked a big salad at my friends' house for dinner. That and pepper steak. MMM--that makes my mouth water!

Later all--Terri O

lalalalalalalala````rain rain come and stay giving me a great play day````

Glad I let the girls out in the yard to play for a while this morning.  Didn't start raining here til around noon or so.  Put them back in the run just before the first roll of thunder.  Didn't know they could get into the coop that fast!!!gig.gif

Hi FTfrow.gif did you get any calls about the horse yet?  We are all waiting for the next episode of "as the stable turns"  big_smile.png  (seriously, totally understand the laying low.  you are definitely on my prayer listlove.gif)

Hope everyone is just getting a nice soaking rain and no high winds, etc.  Now I have to sneak out into my garden before it starts to rain again.

Fresh collard greens and swiss chard for supper, yum!

Aw I miss you guys!  Just read oooooooooooodles of posts.  Man we can't shut up on this thread! gig.gif

FT, I can't tell you how much I've been thinking of you and the horse.  I support you I support you I support you.  We're all  Barcalounger quarterbacks compared to you.  I'm waving a lil banner with your name on it.  smile.png

MLH -I don't know about you, but this member of the BYC bookclub forgot about the Discovery of Witches e-book sale!  I swear this horse story has made me forget about all non-essentials!!!  How about you dahling, did you remember after all?

TerriO -Would I have loved to come out and play last night!  It was just cruddilicious timing!  Chloe went to her first sleepover last night.  To her bestie's home.  Bestie's mom and I are buds too!  So when Chlo started chirping a week ago about not wanting to go without me, Bestie's mom and I started planning OUR sleepover too!  ...with homemade mojitos no less!  Haven't heard of too many Mom-Daughter sleepovers!  lol.png  It was super fun.  And Chloe will be going on her own next time smile.png

welcome-byc.gif and the cheesehead board newbies!!!!     What gorgeous roo pix!   Unfortunately, I'm in no way, shape or form set up to add a roo to my lil flock.

....it's raining somewhere in the state?  Well rock on you guys!

Marg-Yes I remembered to get the book!! I will have to check to see if I can "loan" it to you. Some of the ebooks on Amazon can be loaned or borrowed for a specified time by the author or publisher.  If I can I'll send you a note and get your email...

TO-Glad you had a good ride!

Amy-I vote grouse too. They sure are cute! Good luck raising them.

Well, best go lock the Girls up and collect Ben.
