Amy first thought was is he neutered then read on. You know I love cats even the stupid ones. hugs.gif Kinda like people but I love them a whole lot less. Hope he shows up! fl.gif BFF said that Bob would show up just cause he's a DINK! He was right.  Tat good job on missing the posts, rope is cheap ya.gif Sounds like the soap is coming around for you. clap.gif Start early on the clean up it's supposed to get insane out there. Hydration! BL4 I've been waiting for a BM from him, would think if there were internal probs he'd be bleedin from there. Nothing either way so far but he hadn't eaten in almost 2 days either. So it should be soon. Doesn't cry when I run my hand along his belly. Think he's gonna make it and that's good cause I'm gonna KICK HIS ASH as soon as he's well enough to take it. rant.gifL will be home in a few she HAS to try the new washer. Got it all set up with not the least little leak ya.gif Bought some "new to me" shark something fittings. I'm impressed! Basically pushlock that work on copper, pvc, and Pex. Waay too easy! Kinda like not having to get up out of the chair to change the channel. Most on here won't get that. lau.gif Puppies! lau.gif

Afternoon All.... Angie, I hate to recommend anything to folks without knowing the environment....I would leave the chicks on the medicated feed and feel they are good to go....I don't have the samples tested anymore...I really feel they (vets) cause more questions than answers.  I would wait til moult and treat with sulmet...that way no eggs are wasted cause the hens aren't laying much at all then anyway. If you have hens that are dying, then you have a serious problem...not sure if underwieght is correct or not? Hoping for the best for you....Thanks for making the Bash.

Glad Bob is doing better Doc.

Me and Suzie are spending many hours in the gardens....still more to do.

Wish i had your egg customers Jim....just gave 6 dozen to the amish neighbors and another 2 to a friend at church...still have 12 doz in the fridge...even a buck a doz would help with feed...I do enjoy giving them away though. I like the idea of customers paying for the feed too however....what the heck?

Just had the septic tank pumped...the guy is from Gresham, only a few miles from here....he said his neighbor lost 2 dogs to wolves...they dug under the fence to get to them....he also said he saw one chasing 3 deer only 2 miles from here....They are going to ruin the deer herd here. Hope your dreams are sweet ones TO!

just a quick note..  I didn't do anything earth shattering today..  Ken sold both of the baby cockatiels..  the birds are sitting on another dozen eggs split into two cages..

I put the two goslings out into the brooder pen with the poults and keets..  they are like company,, after 3 days they really begin to stink !!

Brent, I am thinking the same as you with the cocci..  I wouldn't panic unless there was visible illness  or  death..  I just didn't want to be the first grumpy old guy to speak up..  you win..

FT ,  the horse looks so much better with a full belly..

I got one of my pressure washers working today..  just took $4.98 worth of plumbing fittings..

I think I have the other one fixed also,  but these "one time" screw holes in the plastic shroud won't hold the screws..  I will have to get longer screws or "re-manufacture" new holes..  I did fix the threads with JB-weld..  I used the quick set kind for a change..  better "getterdone" in about 10 minutes or else mix a new batch..  If the "O" ring holds, I will be good to go..  If not, I can still find a similar one online for $28.oo  OR  I can steal the one off of my gas washer that has a cracked pump..

So I was at F F today and picked up AmproMed for calves (amprolium 20% soluble powder) They now have Poultry amprolium (Corid is amprolium 20%) however they only sell it in a bucket of 20 pkts at $350.00  So I am figuring this is the same thing as the Corid. I jsut need to figure out dosage now. And interestingly enough, reading online and over and over I am reading that you dont have to toss eggs if treating with amprolium. I will have to do more research on this though.

Bigzio thanks for the input on that. I stopped giving the chicks in the coop the medicated feed as I didnt want the hens getting it and passing to the eggs. not so smart of a move now huh?

here's a read from this site with some interesting input to this cocci discussion;

http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/coccidiosis-and-medicated-feed

I'm not a proponent of medicated feed here, I also don't keep a ultra clean brooder (good cleaning between batches), few "treats" for chicks other than some weeds/grass with dirt on the roots, always fresh water, no wet or moist bedding,,,, not that this is the right thing to do,,,just what I have done with no problems to this point

FT...that looks like a happier horse. What is the deciding factor on where he will live? Is that in discussion?
