I had to LOL when I read this, Terri. On Sunday evening, I had over 130+ unread posts!  ep.gif     th.gif     Needless to say, I've been doing a lot of this  caf.gif   lately.

Drh, so sorry to hear about Bob and am so glad you found him!  hugs.gif   I sure hope he continues to improve.

Amy, so sorry to hear about your kitty. I hope he shows up real soon.  hugs.gif   I try to avoid those unfortunate circumstances by keeping all my cats inside and having them fixed early. I so hate animal heartaches and worry.  sad.png

FT, I am so happy the horse got rescued! Hooray!  celebrate.gif   He sure looks a lot happier and on the road to recovery. I hope he will be able to go home with you too.

Nice animal pics, everyone!

Ang, so sorry to hear about your chicken troubles. I hope you can get it figured out. Wish I could be of more help.  hugs.gif

CRS kicked in, so please forgive me whomever it was that had the predator attack on your chickens. I am so very sorry to hear that.  hugs.gif     I hope you are starting to feel a little better and aren't getting discouraged about keeping chickens. They are such a joy to have and watch as they go about their antics. I'm sure there are some people on here who would gladly help you rebuild your flock. Where about in the state are you? Do you have an incubator? I could give you some hatching eggs or hatch some for you if you wish.

Well, must get the laundry in the dryer & go to bed. All this reading has made me tired.  wink.png   Sweet dreams, all!

Geez I wondered what hole CC fell into since she's been MIA! I hope it wasn't a hole filled with chicken shmitt... big_smile.png

Evening All,

FT - YAH!!!ya.gif

Sorry to hear about losses, and lack of being able to till your gardens, And hoping all the various critters stay well OR don't die!

I went to feed the horses and spotted this and whirled around and honked the horn, calling to DH "hey come here and put your shoes on!"

I drove about half a mile away and showed him what I saw..

And then took pics.

WOW is right !!!! Nice job on taking the pictures too !!!

As far as the horse goes. I'm sure there will be more chapters to As the Stable Turns.

The owner of the stable that has the horse hasn't heard from the authorities. But the horse is still the property of the owne until the court decides.

Supposedly there will be charges filed AND the owner will be billed for the board and any expenses pertaining to the horse.

He is in very good hands right now. When I went to see him today he was pawing at the fence. They had a pony next to him and he wanted in to see him. Poor poor horse, who knows how long it's been since he saw another horse.

She said when they brought him to the stable he drank and drank and drank. She said he looks better today then even just yesterday. I think he was is more dehydrated then underfed (but he is definately at least 300+ lbs underweight) They said he looks like he could be in his 20's. He had tons of energy today.

He has a very pretty trot. He was running up and down the fence and sure seemed happy.

I love him already.

Amy... hope your kitty makes it home!

Tatters... Glad to see you here! Hope you get your trees down without any problems!

FT... So glad the horse is coming along so well! Did you ever find out if he has a name?

Jim... Just love a man who can improvise!

Cs.... hope you get rid of those coons before they get your hens!

WCc.... Great pics!

Nothing going on here, just made some big blocks of ice for the chickens for tomorrow. I'll see if I can get a fan in the coop too.

Andersons' Home for horses

We are a horse rescue farm. We have many horses that need safe loving homes to go to. Some of our horses are young and in need of training. Some have been mistreated. We do not sell these horses. The horses are free. We will accept hay or grain to help continue our work, and volunteers are welcome. If you would like to set up an appointment to view the horses please send me an email. Please share this posting so we can find more homes for more of these beautiful animals.

Flewdacoop, the secret to driving in the snow: S-L-O-W. You can drive either vehicle and be just fine, neither will do you any good on ice, and black ice is the biggest worry (looks like the road is wet when it is really covered in a sheet of ice). Find an empty parking lot and practice doing doughnuts.... big_smile.png

Beautiful sunset pics, I wonder if the smoke from the wildfires is 'helping' with the colors.....

Doc, glad to hear Bob is doing much better. Just keep giving him moist food so that when he does have a BM it is a little easier on him.

I would gladly take a horse or two off of their hands.... it sucks living in town.

Ok, off to work I go. Later all!
