Well, I am up way too early per usual....but I have my coffee handy   Where is my early morning buddy, who says he wakes up early everyday?????

In a few I will add the last items to the car, eat breakfast, wake the kids, let the dog in, and shuttle everyone into the car to go! I am aiming for a 7:30ish departure.

I am very excited, but I hope and pray for safe travel.

I hope to be able to check in nightly while we are in Knoxville. I definitely do not want to fall behind in posts and have to read a bizillion just to catch up Our hotel has free Wi-Fi so I'll have no excuse except pure exhaustion!

Morning all!

Up at 5:30 this am....again!  Got the critters all cared for and I am sipping my coffee. Yummmmm!

DH is going to a dog event/hunting event today.  He won't be gone all that long but I think I'll try to go to TSC in Delevan. 

Looks gloomy outside but no rain....the bird bath has been getting a lot of action. I feel so sorry for the little birdies, having to wait at the "community pool"! LOL!! Maybe I'll invest in another bird bath. I'm having to fill their pool at least twice a day and the other day I had to fill it 3 times!!

The garden is starting to show promise! Peppers, tomatoes, squash and pumpkins are all growing.  I have to take a peek at the cucumbers.

Jim~to clarify, I know about the FF (fleet Farm) in Wausau, used to go there before they built the BIG one in Antigo  .  Don't know Wausau that well so was just curious if there was a Blain's farm and fleet in Wausau too.

Nothing new here.  Grass is still green but now we could use some rain too.  Started watering the gardens yesterday and I much prefer mother nature to do it!

Chicky girls fine, however, I thought chickens didn't like getting wet?  I was re-filling the last rainbarrel across from the run gate.  Left the hose in the barrel and went in the house for a minute.  It overflowed while I was gone.  No big deal, but, I looked over at the girls and there they were PLAYING in the puddle!  I mean, playing!  Ok, pecking at the water, got that, but they were stomping and splashing!  I expected to see them any second to start throwing mud at each other!  What a show!  I had turned the hose off so soon the water soaked in and the puddle was gone.  They cocked their heads and looked at me like, "aren't you going to turn it back on?"  Cold water to play in on a hot day, another new experience for them   If it gets really hot again today I guess I will have to give them their puddle back.  My chickies spoiled? Nah.

Bigz- sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.

The chickens are doing very well, horses doing good though. I think we actually got a bit of rain..

I was able to secure 3 very large round bales for the horses, I still have to pay for them and go get them using a neighbors

bale carrier.. but I have hay for a little while at least.

People are dumping horses left and right down here.

We have been working on staying cool, and now I am job hunting seriously now...

Vicki -- Mine play in the water all the time. I run the sprinkler for the ducks and the chickens go in at as well.

Good Morning everyone. Not much happening here. I got a call from my oldest DD this morning ( she's in Illinois at my moms house for the summer) I guess a bad storm ripped thru and detroyed the area. The house across the street had a huge oak fall thru it, my moms large trampoline is detroyed, my cousins garage was detroyed and her trampoline as well. Lots of large oak trees snapped. Boy I'm glad I dont live there anymore.

Well thats about it, DH is driving me nuts paceing this morning. He's waiting for the call from his ex to let him know she's an hour out so he can head to the Dells to get his kids.

ytup,  both..  the Mills is on the North end of Wausau on hwy K..  the other one is in Schofield just off hwy 29 East toward Green Bay..

Good late morning!  Coffee is nearly done and I am finally caught up!  Thanks for reposting that article Ang...I read it this time...I KNEW there was a reason that my coops are not cleaned regularly!  Glad I am doing something right...

I sure wish we had a Fleet down here.  We have F&F but it is not as good IMHO.  I love the greater variety at Fleet.  When I go to Green Bay it is always on the list to shop there!!!

Not much going on here today...had to come inside cause there is NO AIR circulating at all in the yard.  At least in here I can sit under the fan.  Closed up the house except for the North windows and have the house fan on too.  Quite comfy if all you do is sit!

Today after I get everyone watered and fed I am going to clean up the pond.  I had left the hose in it after refilling and it back drained...might as well get the muck out of the bottom while it is empty.  THe slider will be happy to have water back I am sure!  I am going to put a new pump in too...mine finally bit the dust.

I also have to get the fair entries made!  I entered a few canned items and I dont think I have any of it done from last fall! Not doing any canning today but maybe get the stuff together for next week.  I also have to dust birds and bathe them for the poultry show.  I think they go in a week from Tuesday.  Going to be a busy week for sure between all of that, working (cooking) all week and my brother and family coming here for the 4th from Florida!

Still a Good Morning Everybody! Don't know what the heck is going on with my internet but tried twice to get on. Rebooted both times and nothing. Love how things have changed. Rebooting was an entirely different thing years ago now it means unplug the DANG thing. I always thought Blaines FF was south and Mills was in the north? IDK! Vic that's heck Larry us about the puddles! Still have yet to figure out who and why they said madder than a wet hen? Musta been a hampster owner. TO thought the DS was gonna put in your AC? Not canning yet here but did get some dill and cilantro cleaned, vac packed, and in the freezer this AM. Plus fresh salad for this evenings repast. Just salad tonight saw myself necked after a shower last night and thought the Michelin man had broke into the house. [Not laughing] CC just like that David! MLH Laura's in Delevan visiting fam if you see her tell her I said hello.   Lotso blossoms on lotso things in the garden.  Weeded until the sun hit still about half an hours worth I'm saving for tomorrow.  Sure like that I put down weed barrier has already saved me countless hours out there. TO THAT HAS TO be sent  into somewhere! What a cool pic!
