Hi All! Just had a cute little kitten wipe out my post!undefined So... condensed version!

DrH... Hope you get that yote!

Ken.... You can try going to YouTube and type in the guys name. undefinedto see if he made more.

FT.... Hope your DH does well on his tests! wink.png Hope he studied!

BBP.... Nice your going to try to spay that cat!

Rose seems none the worse for wear.... her face and comb look like she had a bad case of acne but no big gashes and her eyes are good. I fixed the pen better so the others can't knock over the gate. Sure wish I knew what happen.

One kitty got a new home, 3 to go.

Night all!

Morning!

Off to the rat race again. I have a meeting at the University tomorrow morning so I get to go in an hour early today.... yippee. At least I get to look forward to the company picnic on Saturday. They hold it at the Milwaukee County Zoo.

Gotta grab another cup of Joe and out the door.

Later all!

Good Morning All! FT glad your OK! Hope ET is too! Cind hope you can find the last kitten fl.gif  So much more not enough java yet. The kids were doing the panic thing near bed time last night couldn't see anything. They were all in the coop.hu.gif Going out to sit just inside the garage door and let the bait out into the run. The Blue Mule gets a carrot. It lifted the cement well cap high enough to get boards under to bust it up. Threw it all in the hole and filled with dirt. Think it'll take a few years to settle. Was wondering where mazo's been? Oh ya Bl4 if L wins the lottery your on the list.

Good morning folks,

been a really busy week so far and it's only Wedsday

I have 5 volunteers workers from a local camp giving me 8hr days until Friday,,,,,hard to keep up with them but amazing how the big projects that have been delayed are getting off the list. Garden caught up on weeding, the deer fence repaired and completed, future blueberry patch got the spoiled hay for mulch (covered 130'X16'), yard cleanup of old piles done, scrap metal all moved and on pallets, gh weeded and the last bed prepped for replanting, much more but to hard to explain.

Today we set the new coop in place, clean out the unused portion of the big existing coop, maybe build the runs . Get the brooder shack cleaned out and these 6 BCM's and 4 Ameraucana chicks moved out of the basement. More weeding and xtra yard work (things I just don't have time for anymore)

I'm tired and missing any chance for a nap this week lau.gif

read but didn't enter into the "lost freedoms" discussion, some of these have been evolving with  the new term Politically Correct  that has just been kicked around the 10-15 years (now think about what an oxy that is!) I'm more concerned with the loss of the whole freedom concept with the current ALEC movement and the selling of votes to the greedy corporate power mongers.

good luck to all with chicks, illegal critters, horses, goats, relatives, drought, fair entries, kids, cats, dogs, and whatever else life brings you (like busted mowers, tillers, cars, you get the idea)

ok, I need to get things organized and ready for the day

Morning Peeps!

What to say....nice morning outside. Cool and refreshing.  The Girls are all doing well. Complaining this morning though. I realized I'm out of scratch. That must by why they are complaining. No morning treats to kick start their day!

Midge was on the nest but got off when I came in to feed and the blackish Andalusion is the one that is laying. Still waiting for Lavender to start. She squats though so I'm beginning to wonder if she is eating her eggs.  Hmmmm....

What else, oh I have a leak in the kitchen pipes somewhere. I think I know where it is. Now I have to call a  plumber or two and get an estimate. I wish I could fix it myself...The pipes in the house are old and haphazard at best so I guess it's time to replace them.

That will be fun with rabbits living in the basement! They might have to have a "sun day"! LOL!!

BL4-If you need help with anything short of duck taking, I'm happy to help. I'd take your ducks in a heart beat but that might be pushing it here for me.

FT-I'd spring ya! You can put me on your list! Hope ET's test come out well!

CC-Couldn't resist the super glue comment could ya!gig.gif lau.gif

Well, I was going to say more but just can't remember much today.

Morning everyone frow.gif

FT~so sweet of you to offer a home to those horrible criminal quackers hugs.gif  Hope your BH is doing ok.  Glad to hear about Cody.

Dan~ great you have all that help to get the place ready for all your new pullets!  Could use a couple of those boys to help us get ready for the annual relative invasion! hide.gif  If it's our anniversary how come we have to do all the work?  th.gifSeriously, we love it and the fact that we are still able to do it.  All the kids, grandkids, etc. are so scattered it's the only way to see them all.

I have the cage for my broody butt.  Put it into the coop last night to let the girls get used to it being there.  Takes up a LOT of room in my little coop but I think it will work ok.  Letting everyone else lay their eggs this morning then up on blocks goes the cage and in goes cranky butt!  it's actually a bit critical now that I break her brood because I only have 3 nesting spots which wasn't a problem with only 3 girls but I have 2 pullets and maybe 2 more "ladies" coming soon so I can't have one "parked" and causing a traffic jam smack.gif.  At least not until I talk reeaallyy sweet to hubby and get him to build new boxes tongue.png  Poor hubby.  Actually all I have to do is drag out all the stuff and here he'll come, "whatcha' doin'?"  (me) "It's ok honey, I got it".  (him) "Scoot and go take care of the critters, I got this".  Tada!!!  New nest boxes!ya.gif love.gif  All it will cost me is a spaghetti dinner (his favorite).

Cind~did you find your last kitty?

BBP~our local vet clinic, in conjunction with our humane society, has a program where if you turn in a ferel, they will spay/neuter it.

Well, hear a lot of banging outside so I better get out there and see what my BH is up to now!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all!  I say my "friend" the fox again this morning.  I went out at 6:20 or so and he showed up right at 6:45.  It kind of scared me because iI was daydreaming and aaall of a suddenit was dashing across the clearing and behind the tree right next  to me!  I had a clear view of it's back legs and tail no 8' from me!  TOday I get more shells for the .22--hopefully then I will get another great opportunity to take care of him!  Man, I am falling asleep--maybe a nap is in order for today?

Back later...I have a chick that wont shut up and I think I am going to have to cull it.  It has a bit of a twisted neck cause it had the eggshell glued to it's head in the incubator!   My hatch is pretty much done I think this is the last batch...now I have to hatch some replacement quail....

Napping now!  Terri O

I wouldn't cull yet. Just massage it's little neck. Probably just muscle spasms. You wouldn't want to be culled just cause you don't shut would you ??? LOL
