bl4- sorry to hear the news! Keep on trying.

I was looking at a friends FB page and noticed that she liked a chicken website that encourages backyard chickens. Hmmmmmmmwoot.gifShe homeschools and I may consider talking to her about my chicks, but first I want to get her opinion on why she liked the FB page.

Third of four soccer meetings planned for the week are complete. One more tomorrow to hand out the soccer bags to the coaches.

Dessert tonight was sauteed plantains sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and topped with vanilla ice cream.

night all

Morning everyone! frow.gif

BL4~I can't imagine how frustrated you must be this morning!  Horrible timing for this issue to even come up.  Every body''s looking at their budgets because of all these "marathon" elections, etc.  If the worse does happen, is there an option to bring this up again at a later date?

Crispy morning again.  Guess we will be sending this down to you "southerners" later today cool.png

Think my Broody Butt is losing interest.  shooed her out for a bit yesterday and all she wanted to do was dust, dust, dust!  I let the other ladies out into the garden (they pick on her now-think they've had it with her crank) so she could have the run to herself to eat, etc. (kicked her out last night because I will be gone all day today and tonight and tomorrow the weather is supposed to be really crappy up here) I opened the pophole after a few minutes so she could go back in when she wanted but she was in no hurry about it.  She started getting agitated after a bit because she couldn't go into the garden too.  Eventually she did go back into the coop on her own but when inside she was staring hard at the nesting boxes instead of the brooding box so I shooed her back into her box. She settled back onto the eggs but I had to reach in and tuck one back under her.  Just a few more days girl and we should both know if those eggs will actually hatch.  Good thing out of all this is with all the sitting she is actually getting her tail feathers back.

Another Greenbay roadtrip today.  Going to be a long one so I hope the rough weather they say could happen stays away til we can get home.

Happy Hump Day everyone (behave ladies lau.gif )

Yep time to thin the flock. Bigz I don't have a problem with a right handed auto but was trained to use it as is so it's a natural thing for me. Ghost good luck finding homes! Good morning everyone!  Nice here at the moment but it looks as though the clouds are moving in--figures I hear the washer doing it's spin thing...I want to hang out today.

Beautiful (uneventful) ride yesterday!  We went down to Horsemen's in Palmyra (Southern Kettle Moraine) and rode to Eagle for dinner.  My horse is OUT OF SHAPE!  He really nearly quit on the uphills at the end.  When DD20 and I went in the past we could get to Eagle in 3 hours...get this--it took us nearly 5 and a half!  About 3 for the way back of course but that is normal...they always know where the trailer is and we took a little shorter way I think.  It was hard to tell because it was pitch black in the woods!  I was sure glad that I had my new little flashlight in my pocket.  It is 174 lumens....bought it for candling eggs but it worekd really great for reading signs and watching for drop off edges too!  I think it's Coleman Max--I highly recommend it!

DrH I cannot believe how energetic you are in the morning!  Way to go on the marinara.  That will make some fine meals this winter for sure.  I was thinking that today I will go out and get more tomatoes picked and pick summer squash too.  I shined that flashlight in there when I got home (at midnight) and saw a monster zucchini just perfect for some GF nutbread...Now that is it a little cooler I can actually think about turning on the oven and getting some baking done.

I have to take care of my client tonight while his wife goes to play cards.  I feel so bad for her; she called at 7:30 this morning asking if I could come sometime today and help her.  She is in way over her head (just like you JIm) taking care of him.  It is so frustrating because one day he is all smiley and capable and the next he's like a vegetable!  Frustrating for sure.

Guess I better get outside and get that wash up...gotta go to the feed mill too--poor geese, I had no corn to feed them last night!

Have a great day!  TerriO--whoislookingforwardtobakingsomethingdelicious--

Hi... It's 9:23 and I'm still laying in bed! Apparently this is the kids anniversary gift to me. A reasonable amount of fighting, but. Not enough to have to break up. Pickle was awake and playing in his room at 4 am, so he's sleeping in. My mom is taking the 2 biggest trouble makers to Noah's Ark today, so I guess that's a present too! I feel a little bad though, because they are SO naughty, and fight so much... Hopefully the distraction will curb their sh!t ..roll.png

Since today is our wedding anny, I have to go get a card and a .22 for the hubby. It's on sale for $200, and I have $15 of rewards cards to use as well. I hope that's a good deal. Oh and he's not an amateur with the gun. He grew up on this farm, drove tractors, castrated pigs, shot things, bailed hay etc. he just doesn't hunt as an adult. Now ME on the other hand... Safety course might be an excellent idea!

Oops gotta get the kids to town so thy can go to Noah's with Grammy!

good AM..  UPS was just here..  the tractor parts that were due to come in two weeks or so, just arrived,,  I ordered them just day before yesterday..  I was on pins and needles since I ordered them..  I was not 100% sure of the sizes , especially the sleeves..  I had to take one out of the box and tried it for a match..  It fits..  I did not do the bearings yet, but I will..  Now I can run the head in to Wausau to have it redone..

I am no way ready to put it back together..  I spent over 5 hours cleaning parts yesterday and have a few more to do..  the block was a real treat, let me tell you..  I still have to give it one more degreasing wash..

I primed the bottom of the gas tank..  I am going to Menards for some spray bombs..

I was going to paint the sheet metal, but after washing it all down with 409 degreaser, the paint looks pretty good yet..

I am going to paint the block white also..  and the valve cover I think will be Ford blue..

Annie said that I should paint the tractor Green, because it is an Oliver.. I said,"  but it is MY Oliver and I can paint it any way I want".. IDGAS what other people think..  I have had this tractor for 7 years and not once did anybody stop in and say   " what a nice green tractor you have there."

BL4, in court what those townspeople told you the farmer "said" wouldn't hold up.. hearsay..

A non-issue?  then why the heII are they fighting it so hard ?  and Boo Hoo, they have to work a little..    I have about 100 birds running around here..  let me tell you,, the dog's smell worse.

like the red neck Ron White says: "there ain't no fix for stupiddd".

got things to do..  the sun is still shining here,

Jim when you said paint the engine white I couldn't figure out WTH would he paint it white for? Then read where it was one of those Olivers. Had a SUPERvisor that loved his. Didn't think much of him so therefore Olivers are in the same catagory. Sounds like it's all coming together so to speak. Found another leak in the Case tank never would have guessed that it was the culprit. More testing tomorrow, hope I've got it now. fl.gif Looked at the beans ended up with a couple of more bags in the freezer. Think we have enough now going to start giving them away too. BL4me Happy Ani! TO right back at you except different times of the day. As you know I expect everyone to be on MY schedule!
