DrH, I am so so sorry about Bob. hit.gif hugs.gif You too with your hen Bigz. hugs.gif

Yay Terri, Taylor did great! Bet she's glad she found the Coggins. wink.png She looks very nice on a horse. Thanks again for putting up me and Julie, your coffee this morning hit the spot. We got kinda screwed today with the horse fair events; we bought our tickets for riding a reiner, then they said we needed boots to ride, no tennies allowed. That rule wasn't in place yesterday. hmm.png So we turned those in and tried to do the cart driving instead; we tried to do it after 2 clinics in the morning, and squeeze it in before we had to go home at 2:30, but the beotchy woman in charge of that was resting her horses and wouldn't even let us put our names on the list to go next. She really ticked Julie off! So back to the ticket booth to explain the situation, and that gal shook her head and said they've had nothing but problems with that group and they would NOT be invited back ever again. They were supposed to be doing drives all day, and we never saw anybody doing it the whole weekend! But overall we had a great time, the jousting was awesome last night, and we saw a few barrel runs today. Oh, and MLH's DH was there and was kind enough to give us some bags of Nutrena and we met Elvis!!! big_smile.png

Jousting. I guess these guys have their own show on the history channel. Those are huge draft horses, FT would swoon. Sorry, no kilts, BigFam, just bona fide 150-lb suits of armor. ep.gif We saw at least 3 spills, and they sure go down hard, ouch. And then just lay there until someone can help them get up!

And then teaching clinics was this spectacular fellow, Dan James....expert horse trainer, Australian, and dreamy as all get-out - Lord have mercy! As Julie said, a trifecta! bow.gif

HI All!

GR... hope your doggie gets over whatever is wrong. At that age he's ripe for an ear infection and they can mess up balance bad. Duke was getting them frequently the last few years.

Vicki.... Awwwwww

Angi.... Awwwwww

DrH... Nothin' wrong with a man cryin' over a beloved pet!!! It means you have a heart! love.gifhugs.gif

BigZ... Sorry about your hen, so sad when you've had it so long. I don't feel quite as bad when a predator takes an bird while it's ranging... but come in my coop and I'm P!ssed!

BBP... yep... sounds like a couple of days!

TO... congrats on the hatch and your DD and her horse!

Amy... Sounds like you had a great day!

Bl4.... LOL looks like you had fun too!

tiki... Handsome Dude!

Worked in the coop for a while today, then my hips started to protest! Sure wish my body would let me do half of what my head wants! This place would be so cool looking!  Still no hot water, DH said he was going to talk to someone and see if they could come look at it. I've installed 2 of them... beyond that... I know nothin' 'bout 'em!

Time to make the mash and go to bed...night all!

...cindtiredofnohotwaterandwantHOTbath!...

the size of a pencil earser, a mouse is able to flatten itself out pretty small.

Am I seeing things? Noone posted after Cind yet this morning? Wow! The cool weather last night must have everyone sleeping in.

DrH, I agree wholeheartedly with Cind. Not a darn thing wrong about a man showing his love for a beloved pet. Hugs. (Stupid smileys not working).

Bigz, I am so sorry to hear about your brahma hen. That just stinks. Hugs to you too.

Bl4, yes, it does look like you had fun. That's the important thing.

Amy, all I can say is, Oh my!

Tiki, that is one handsome roo.

Cind, I hear ya on wishing your body would do what your brain wants to do. I know that feeling all too well.  :)

I wanted to post some pics but that doesn't seem to be working either. I think some chicks hatched yesterday. I could hear some awful loud peeping under mama. I think 2 are due today too, but I haven't looked under her yet. I'm excited to know what colors they are going to be. On another note, my alpha lav roo has decided to start attacking DH whenever he looks away. That stinks because he is really friendly to me & will jump up onto my lap. Well, better get into gear. Have a great day!

A wonderful DH who spoils me rotten, 4 cats, 2 doves, 2 rabbits, an old partridge cochin banty roo, a golden Seabright roo, Dominiques, buff, lavender, black, gold-laced & chocolate orps, and some barnyard mixes.

If Mooses kids are anything, they are born to go broody. I had 3 broodies at one time! And they started laying very young too. I'm hoping most of the chicks are from the lavs. fl.gif
