DrH, I am so so sorry about Bob.
You too with your hen Bigz.
Yay Terri, Taylor did great! Bet she's glad she found the Coggins.
She looks very nice on a horse. Thanks again for putting up me and Julie, your coffee this morning hit the spot. We got kinda screwed today with the horse fair events; we bought our tickets for riding a reiner, then they said we needed boots to ride, no tennies allowed. That rule wasn't in place yesterday.
So we turned those in and tried to do the cart driving instead; we tried to do it after 2 clinics in the morning, and squeeze it in before we had to go home at 2:30, but the beotchy woman in charge of that was resting her horses and wouldn't even let us put our names on the list to go next. She really ticked Julie off! So back to the ticket booth to explain the situation, and that gal shook her head and said they've had nothing but problems with that group and they would NOT be invited back ever again. They were supposed to be doing drives all day, and we never saw anybody doing it the whole weekend! But overall we had a great time, the jousting was awesome last night, and we saw a few barrel runs today. Oh, and MLH's DH was there and was kind enough to give us some bags of Nutrena and we met Elvis!!!
Jousting. I guess these guys have their own show on the history channel. Those are huge draft horses, FT would swoon. Sorry, no kilts, BigFam, just bona fide 150-lb suits of armor.
We saw at least 3 spills, and they sure go down hard, ouch. And then just lay there until someone can help them get up!

And then teaching clinics was this spectacular fellow, Dan James....expert horse trainer, Australian, and dreamy as all get-out - Lord have mercy! As Julie said, a trifecta!
