Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Thanks for the good luck's hunting. The weather was less than perfect, but it is what it is. I was humiliated by the stubborn Tom's this time around.... passed up jakes on two occasions.
Tough hunt, but worth it regardless I ended up eating my tag.
Toms just out of range was the problem.
Good Luck to those of you with a future hunt!

I hatch my own birds too. I ordered once and had no problem with dead chicks. One does have to deal with stress with shipped chicks and pasty butt is usually the problem one needs to deal with.
My girls are laying well and won't need to hatch any until next spring.

Stay Safe .. bigz

Well my Wynadotte hatched 2, brought left over eggs in once she left nest and another hatched so far, 3 or 4 eggs left see what happens. I had eggs marked, early in the game couple got broken and some others got mixed in so I just remarked some new ones.
Make a brooder tonight for new chick, lil chick just not strong enough to run with the other chicks and mama although they only about 3 days apart.
