however, I have my nephew's pex tool kit..
If you used the shark bite fittings, they are expensive..
but the crimp fittings are about $1.5o /each
I will be using shark bite fittings where I connect with copper.. as it stands right now.
I might do a complete pex job and that will mean more fittings.. but then only 2 shark bites..
We redid all the plumbing in my mother's 2 story 8 room house with pex..
awesome easy to work with.. and stringing tubing from the laundry room up to the second floor bathroom was a snap..
I am going to run all 3/4 inch main tubing.. then reducing it to 1/2 inch at the sinks, toilet and laundry faucets..
I installed a walk in shower a few years ago and that is already pex..
I have to research the connections to the water heater and faucets..
I might be able to run 3/4 " all the way with a reducer fitting on the end,, if they make such a thing..??
I put the trailer ad on C L only yesterday,, the guy called me with an hour..
