Hello, I'm new to the forum. Well I have been lurking for years on other threads when I have chicken problems. Decided it was time to join. Thought I'd jump in with both feet.

Good golly! It really poured buckets here yesterday afternoon!! I just hope it didn't wash out the seeds I planted! Good thing I leave the row markers and string up until things pop out of the ground! I knew something was up when both flocks headed inside their respective coops early on. It was still dry but the very dark and angry clouds were gathering to the west.
We REALLY do need to get the roof of the barn patched up!!
We did not get nearly enough rain here. Saw the storms roll in for 2 days heard the thunder, and nothing! We did finally get some rain last night, however walking around outside there are still plants that look droopy and look like they need water . Definitely thankful we didnt get a big storm though I was worried we'd lose power and the new chicks would lose their brooder lights.
Hey anybody that wants to answer?
How big are ya'lls gardens.......I have a 15 x 30 and it does not seem big enough for all I wanted to plant....did not get corn, lettuce, beets, radish or carrots in.....I have 16 tom plants, probably 12 hot peppers and 4 red, yellow and bells. I also got, 2 cuke plants, 4 broccoli, 4 cauliflower, 1 watermelon and 2 cantaloupes.
My main garden is 30x45 with cabbage, 3 rows of beets, 3 rows of carrots, 25(soon to be 31) tomato plants, a row of climbing beans, pumpkins at the edge, row of cukes at the other edge, kohlrabi, radishes, dill, broccoli and cauliflower. Then I have a second perennial garden that is 10x60 with rhubarb, winter onions, asparagus, garlic and 4 beds of strawberries. I have a blank space in it that I put zucchini in this year. Next year it will probably be filled with more strawberries.
What is Chickenstock??? Where is it??? How do you tell an Iris from those other things that look like Iris but are more of a cup like flower? I have a cazillion somethings that are all yellow and planted all around the house. They are just forming buds. Would you want a ton of those?
The Bash also known as Chickenstock is just a little north of Clintonville., that is not far from you, is it ?.
there is a road called Boy Scout Road that you take to get there. Brent usually hides some balloons in the tall weeds to mark the turn off ..
it lasts from Friday to Sunday starting the Friday after Memorial day weekend. one week from tomorrow.
you can come for the whole 3 days, or make it on any day you can, Saturday is the activity day.
