I got my chickens as started pullets which means they came with clipped beaks. They are happy chickens and don't notice the difference. I love them and here they are:

I love the one where one is sitting in the chair and the other one is peeking out of the window. Precious!
 
Thank you. At first I was worried everyone would GASP at their beaks and I was afraid to post pics. But I'm really proud of them and they are happy birds and they make me happy!

Silklovr - I rec'd them from Mypet chicken. They come that way because of pecking order with large hatcheries, so when they ship out they are debeaked.

This is my first chicken experience and I must say I wouldn't do it again with the clipped beaks, but I really wasn't aware, I just wanted chickens real bad. But their great birds, and I wouldn't change a thing.

But in the future, I would get "regular chickens" I love them!
 
I actually think they are pretty cute with clipped beaks. I'm not saying I would, just because their cute with little beaks, I'm just saying that even though it was an accident (you didn't know) it isn't that terrible. They're cute!
 
They are cute as Rosyposyosy said. They almost look like they have lips.

I think they will have a good life as your "lap chickens".

And I thought my birds were spoiled.....

Hey - if you love em, you spoil em! Pearl has an evenly clipped beak, it's easier for her to get things with it. Ruby has the "shovel" beak and she pecks like the dickens to get stuff, but she doesn't realize it.

I look at it this way; she gets excercise with all that pecking!

I super chop up their food for them, and after doing all that, I stand back and watch and they gobble their food without a problem! I still chop up their stuff real fine for them anyway, yes, they are spoiled.
