Would a Blue Heron eat a chciken???

I have seen videos of them eating baby ducks off the water. Never had problems myself.
I have a pond and my ducks never have a problem with a blue heron I have had come back for years now. It is less fearful of us too because it has been around for so long.

What do you think?

OK, I have read an aweful lot of post on Blue Herons and Chickens. I am still very skeptical, here's why..... My daughter got a Rooster from her Grandfather. He was awesome! We were told he couldn't "be trained"! Really!! He was Great, we called him Elvis! He would come in the house in the evening and sit w/ her on the sofa! Stay w/ me, that needed to be told. We put him out every morning, & he came inside at night, "bed time", to sleep in his kennel! I came home one morning to find no Elvis, feathers every where! Still no Elvis! My son had missed the bus, we're 3 miles from his school, hence, I WASNT GONE LONG! I finally found what was left of Elvis! Then it hit me, I had to tell my daughter! We have had no idea what got him! His kennel door was still CLOSED! We went thru all the possibilities, Raccoon, Opossum, anything, everything..... Well she got a new Rooster! ("Einstein") (They are Cochin Roosters) He is definitely not an Elvis, but cool none the less! He just started pitching a fit, "yelling" (for lack of a better word), and trying to get in the front door! I got our Red Nose Pit and ran out! Not only was the Rooster very upset, every hair on our cats body was on end! I looked & looked, could not figure out what had them so upset! Finally as he began to stretch upward, there was a huge Blue Heron! At this point, that makes sense! That's the one creature, that we didn't think of, that could have pulled him thru the bars of the kennel, never touching the door!
I know some may not agree! But I'm convinced! Poor Elvis!

I have a resident GBH and it's shown no interest in my chickens, even when they were little enough for it to pick up, nor have I seen it bothering the wild ducks that frequent my lot. I suppose if they get hungry enough they'll try to grab anything that'll fit their mouths, but I've only seen it eating frogs.
