Pretty sure my house is haunted

A little off the subject.

This reminds me of something that happened to me a while back.

I was sitting up on me bed with my back against the wall reading a book. Above me was a small window (about a foot tall and a foot and half long). Anyway, I was reading "Salem's Lot" by Stephen King (if you don't know it...it's about vampires!) and I had just read the part where this dead kid is floating outside another kid's window asking him to let him in...when suddenly, my chow/mix (Osa) runs to me, puts her paws on the bed and looks up at the window above me. She starts to growl and the hair on her scruff goes UP!

OK!

I called (well, yelled for!) my roommate and asked him if he saw any thing/one at the window, he said NO!

He thought I was crazy since the window was unreachable from the floor level. You'd have to be ON a ladder. Besides, why bother when you can't open that window? He just rolled his eyes and walked away...(HEY! It was pitch black out there!!!)

I was scared out of my wits. I think I put the book down and went to sleep! LOL! :|

Sorry, a bit off the subject but, if you've ever read the book, you'd know why it scared the Mexican out of me!

yes the first photo is of the front
to the right is a door and on the left side - the door has been bricked up - no kidding
The parlour which is the room of the dead
is the window to the left
We use another door towards the back of the house normally thou

The last few days I have had the pop cans dumped out of the bag I keep them in for recycling. They are in a spare room by the back porch in a tied garbage bag. I keep finding them spilled on the floor after I hear them fall off the dog kennel they are sitting on. The bag was tied and it's happened three times now...I told my "ghost" to knock it off because it was p#ss@ng me off. It apparently took me seriously because they have stayed put today. Another weird thing is I'm finding nickels all over the house, just laying here and there....where are they coming from???? I asked my husband if he was messing with me by leaving nickels in every room of the house, he swears he's not, my kids are grown teenagers and they swear it's not them either...Honestly it's driving me nuts, one nickel on the table, one nickel on the dogs grooming table, one nickel on the edge of the bathtub... it's been happening since we moved in. What's with THAT? Cheap ghost...lol wish it would leave $20.00's

Kerr,
So now that you know about the ghosts, have they settled down...quieted a bit? Do you try to talk to them? Maybe that would settle them.

I think it's so neat that you have such a history for your home. Hope you are able to love the house the same way they did. It's a beauty. All the best.

Okay since were all sharing are stories
my house used to be half its size originally and had twelve people living in it yikes i cant live well with three others and just one bath room
any ways are basement is half sament and half dirt and it's slplit up into theese tree passages and has hole in them and is really scary not sure if any ghost has a hand in that
but the upstairs is the worst you go up the stairs and its my room then you turn left and its the attic then you turn left again and its a hallway with just a banister so you can see it all from my room which is my brothers room and this 6'by 6' nock and there a ghost that watches you as you go up and down the steps and it sound stupid but feels like a man is watching you and he usually stands in the corner watching and some times feels like he passes back and forth like he wants to come to you but cant since my part is the newer part about 60 years while his side is about 90 years old and watches you walk up and down the steps directly over head.

Now my grand mothers house dates back to the civil war and is very scary to me for when i used to sleep there i was in the guest bed room that is right next to my grandmothers room and all during the night you could hear foot steps going up and down the hall way. now your going to say well it is just a old house that creaks and i will agree with you but it does not systemmaticly creak in the position of foot steps and rythem. also my grandmother cannot go up steps any more and yet lights up stairs will be turned on. aswell in the back room in the first level is where my grandfather died and it just scary not because of him i never new him but he was love by those who did know him but its like your never alone in that room.

Sorry for my horbile spelling:(
