I hate to tell you this ~ but we do have Chiggers in PA, although maybe not as common as in other states. I haven't gotten bitten for a while, but we often got chigger bites as children when we were playing in the woods and fields. Itchy little buggers!

Hello all! I'm not certain if I've ever posted in this thread, but we moved up to the State College area about a year ago at the end of May.

I breed Langshans and am having a devil of a time getting rid of some pullets! I've used Pennwoods (amazing thing) and got some very rude responses regarding the pricing of my pullets.

They are 11 weeks old and $5 each. Is there anyone on here that would be interested in them? Here is a photo of the breeders:

to bad you didn't know about the buy, swap and trade at the fairgrounds in fayette country, uniontown it was yesterday, always third sunday of the month from march til nov., if you had come down, you would have sold all the hens you wanted to sell at your price, altho the people would have trade to talk you down, but for hens, maybe not, yesterday, the only hen i took was snapped up in a heart beat, everyone was looking for hens and there weren't many there and also hatching eggs, lots of chickens there being as it was nice for a change lol

Yikes! I just hope they don't decide to move back in to my area. We've been here six years and haven't had any problems.

So no one with stink bugs?? Well, don't worry, they're coming your way. I think they're planning tot take over the world.

Heatherscooby: Lebanon Valley Livestock Auction? Exotic... sounds good. I'll probably go and buy something (else) I don't need. I wonder if I could try to sell my Bantam Cochins there. I've got 4 roos and only 2 pullets. Need to change that up.

i have them, in my home, of course they tell you not to kill them, it draws more to the smell but if you're a insect or a spider, and want to live, stay outside where you belong

I have them too on occasion. I always flush them rather than trying to squash them.

We had so many stink bugs two seasons ago it was awful. I kept plastic ziplock baggies around the house, and whenever I found one I would just stick it in the bag and zip it up, then throw it in the trash when it got kinda full.

Usually if you open up the bag underneath of them they will drop off of whatever they are hanging on right into the bag, and you never have to touch them.

Has anyone else tried vacuuming them up? I did - ONCE - never again! Super stench in the whole house!
