Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

Missy, I see what you mean. I was thinking after I read your post about the many MANY people that get lost coming to my house equipped with directions, and don't even THINK about using a GPS ~they send everyone to a different location all together! Rodriguez! I totally forgot about us getting lost, you gave me a little chuckle. I must get lost so regularly, it doesn't even phase me anymore

Chickens are officially in the new run!! YAY!!! Still needs a little tweaking, but they are there for a few days at least. Now I get to see if they are laying any eggies yet! They are all on the cusp of Point of Lay. Here's Hoping!!

I just got my first batch of chicks on Saturday-5 buff orps and 5 cuckoo marans! I'm so excited.

All creatures great and small, the LORD GOD made them all.

My mixed up flock of Barred Rocks, Red hens, Brown Leghorns, Speckled Sussex, EEs, BLRW, Buff Orps, Wellies and Delawares Marans and Ameracaunnas, lone Sebright roo and a Muscovy quad.

In quarantine a quintuplet of barred rocks (hopefully hens)

In the brooders: Pekin ducklings, New Hampshire Reds, Buff Orps, Iowa Blue.
