These zip ties are awesome until they are old enough to keep the spiral one on that is the adult size.  They come in a ton of colors so you can separate among the peep too.

have no problem telling the young ones apart, all different breeds lol

Well the large fowl are only 10 day old, I have blue, black, and splash.  I am loving them hardcore.  The bantams are silver laced, splash, and 1 buff brahma.  I am loving them even more.  The one splash rooster jumps onto my lap.  I don't think I could sell him.  He is such a sweetheart.  My daughter will use him for her 4-H bird!  The LF seem just as friendly, but of course time will tell.

Highland Hills Cackleberries home of LF Black/Blue/Splash Ameraucana, Wheaten/Blue Wheaten/Splash Wheaten Ameraucana, Silver Laced Wyandottes, and Mottled Bantam Cochins.  We have an egg flock that consists of English Orpingtons, Black Australorps, Naked Necks, Sumatras, Dark Brahma, EE, Marans, LF Cochin, and Blue Andalusian.  I wouldn't mind some Coronation Sussex, Mottled Java, Appenzeller...

good Morning PA!!

Gardenin: you've got to have at least a pip by now, no?....

Missy: You deliver? How kind. You would be proud of me,I finally fired the gun. I'm such a baby -sited the coke can at least three times and pulled back again before finally pulling the trigger. Then walked away thinking, yup, I'm done with that. I can clean up some puppy pee for a while, how hard can it be? LGD is apparently the way to go for me.

DH let chooks out this morning by accident, I hope there are some left when I get home.

LOL, actually...Beaglady is kindly incubating my eggs, as I don't have an incubator. Rather than me do the drive all the way to her, she has a friend who comes to the Farmers Market here, I drop my eggs off with her, and she delivers them to Beaglady. Now I only have to go pick up whichever babies hatch that beaglady doesn't fall in love with! LOL

Well no pips yet. I'm expecting them tomorrow I think. Hatching information can really be so conflicting that it had me all screwed up. Remember my day 18 lock down? First boo boo I made was that I was counting from day 1, not 24 hrs. after the eggs were put in. So.. my lockdown started a day early. 2nd blunder: I thought stop turning on day 18 meant ON DAY 18, not at the end of the day. Bottom line is I stopped turning, and locked down at the beginning of day 17. All informative sites should really be specific,I think! There is hope, my eggs are shaking, and I've found similar stories on line that had a happy ending. God's on my side anyhow, I WILL HAVE CHICKS!!!jumpy.gif I'll post pics asap.

Is there any place in north east pa to buy bulk chicken feed?

What would be a fair price for my 7 week old bantam mixes? I'm considering selling them but not sure what to ask. I have 4 & 4 but my DH wants to keep one of the pullets.
