I just got my eggs in today! My trout, blue trout and Saxony Indian runner eggs! I just candled them. looks like a bunch of the older eggs have ruptured air cells. Can anyone link me to the "Hatching shipping eggs" I forgot to favorite the page and it will come in very handy right about now Lol!!

My Bday present arrived safe and sound!

Look at the fluffies!

with the addition of 2 more KC girls, my breeding pen is done at 2 drakes, 4 ducks

my first black cayuga, trying something new

hopefully her eggs are a different color, like they're supposed to be, so she can live with the khakis

And finally, Nonalee, my production type brown african! She's become imprinted on me, and cries whenever I leave her in the brooder. She's currently asleep on my lap. I guess goose math is striking

I love the webbed feet kind!My gosling has become very imprinted to people. It must stay in a box every night in my room or else it starts to scream and drive my Mom nuts! Its like having a baby in the house. :) Good luck with your fuzzy butts!

So IDK if I am the only person to have a duck that can't swim or what????  My Khaki Campbell decided to drown.  I went out to sit with them this evening and I always count them.  Since there is only one Khaki Campbell I knew immediately who was missing.  I went and looked in the water trough.  There he was........................I thought he was playing in the water.  So I sat down, and was like he isn't moving.  So I proceeded to walk over and check things out closer.  He was dying!  He was cold, limp, and eyes were glazed over.

So I kicked it into save Campbell mode!  I turned him upside down and let water drain out of his beak.  I squeezed the extra water off of him.  Then I wrapped him in my shirt and gave him rescue breaths and chest compressions.  Yes I did!!!!!  I saved my duck with CPR!!!!  He spewed up a bunch of water, then I took him into my car to dry him off, and warm him up.  I can say that when I left him tonight that he is going to be okay!  He was grooming and hanging out with the other ducks!

I love my animals so much!  I sell birds, but I do get quite attached.  I hate when an animal dies.  There was no way in h     E          l      L  I was going to let that happen!  I might not keep Campbell forever, but he will always be a miracle!!!!

Great Job Heathher!!!

Aunt Kat, you are so welcome. I'm glad they are loved.

That is SOO cute!!!! I love cuddly chickens

So cute!! Would definitely put me in the 'warm and fuzzy' camp too!
I think I got myself up on Cloud 9 for a while off this one!!! TEEHEE!
You sound like my fiance. I've caught him napping with goslings on his chest.

My hubby said if they move into our bed he is moving out! so........haven't made up my mind yet...........
Love cuddling with my birds, though this sick one is gonna drive me insane...she's recently decided that the basket we gave her, and the towel she's been on all day weren't good enough...she wants to sleep in my hair...not on top of my head...sitting on the arm of the couch...with her head in my hair
Aunt Kat, I think this isn't a Cochin. To me it looks like its Porcelain. I forget the breed, but I think that is definitely the color.
That's what Sikie said. Have never seen a d'uccle in person. Whatever this is, it has a sweet personality, so I am not heartbroken if its not a cochin. I pick it up, and it snuggles right in. I can live with that.

GOOD FOR YOU!!!! I AM SO HAPPY HE'S OK! I WOULD BE DOING THE SAME IF ONE OF MY DUCK BABIES WAS FOUND LIKE THAT! KUDOS!!!
It's identical to my little porcelain d'Uccle pullet.

Silkie, are they generally a friendly breed?

THEY SURE ARE!!! And it's neat getting to raise them from birth. I got Chachi and Joanie when they were older, and they were still cuddly. Can't imagine how cuddly these guys will be!!!
