Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

It is hard to find them(dwarf/semi)...when they are around, get them when you can, because if you "think" they will be there when you come back....nope! Still not letting HIM live that down

we just went ahead and bought from stark brothers, may cost more but since we didn't have a chance to run around to find them, and starks sent them directly to us, i figure we're ahead of the games, plus they had so many kinds of fruit trees

Thanks..

we will check them out, don't mind paying a little more for quality... Better "right" the first time... We are looking for apple..peach..maybe cherry or pear....we also have a blueberry bush and blackberry, would like to add others/more to the mix... trying to be a little more self-sufficient...canning & freezing...that kind of thing
Hey, I like the parakeets!!-Avi...are they ALL yours?
I had a cockatiel & parakeets...they were fun, miss them.(old age). Would love to get some finches..fun to watch them flutter around.

we found out that starks is a pretty good place to buy fruit trees, so far ours are really nice. my inlaws started the orchard years ago, my mil loved apples, so mostly what we have are apples, cherries, just bought sickel pears and apricots to try. we have black, red and gold raspberries, currants, a nice size blueberry yard and a few gooseberries. we also have horseradish growing, mints, comfrey and we're planting a nice big garden so i have the veggies covered. i like playing in the dirt

if you were closer, could give you some berry cuttings
yes, all mine, i breed the english, i have at least 50, plus handicaps, you get a handicap every once in awhile and i can't put them down so they usually die of old age

Well so far it's been a lovely day, not. Went to take care of thechicks this morning, and I find Chip (one of the EEs) dead UNDER the waterer. I have no idea how the poor thing ended up under there. Then Gavin jams his finger, gets his foot stepped on and hit in the solar plexus (? sp) by a ball at his baseball game. So the entire last inning was spent trying to get him to calm his breathing down. Which ended with a migraine and my mother and I getting into a tiff, nurse/grandma vs momma. And of course it's raining right now so no fishing, which has Gavin upset. I think I may want a beer or two tonight if this day doesn't get better....

Hey everyone! I'm new to BYC, and I am located in Huntingdon Valley, right outside of Philly.
Can anyone recommend a good place to get pullets or grown chickens? Preferably Barred Rock or Orphingtons but any breed that lays well/ can stand the cold would do.
The only things I can find are chicks online or a place that sells pullets with beaks cut that is veryyy expensive to ship. I am willing to drive up to 2 hours to get the birds.
Any and all help would be great!
