Many of the pa citizens born and bred have attended their camp and the utter betrayal is just unspeakable!! I support Penn State 100% on this issue!! Alot of people at that institution turned the other cheek and Penn State is trying to make it as right as they can... Obviously no one will ever really know all the details of who knew what but I know for the victims families looking at his statue everyday would be like a kick in the face... It's a very sad and disgusting situation, but I can tell you this... if my son was one of the victims and Paterno could have done something to help him, I would want his statue gone too, if not in jail!!
I realize that we have very different opinions on this and do understand your position. I have written and deleted several responses to your post, but I cannot respond without coming across as combative.
I just wanted to give a view point of an outsider on this issue. I'm glad I did not go to PSU as I would be very, very disgruntled about the entire handling of this situation. With that, I'm going to step out as I realize this is a "political" thing and did not mean to incite anger/frustration/uproar to a very calm and peaceful thread.
I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
