Chiques chicks, you didn't just have 5 hatch, you had five Sweedish Flower Hens hatch!! awesome!..... Although, you know... If there aren't pictures, it didn't happen, so get on that, will you? ; )

We could not get it together to have pet sitters here this week for our annual birthday/beach trip. My youngest (and ONLY summer baby) turns 9 tomorrow. We have celebrated every single birthday of hers at the beach, but with no one to monitor chooks n piggies, here I am, and DH and kiddies are all at beach. I realize that I should be bummed out, but this is awesome! The first thing I did was wipe counters and run vacuum and KNOW it will stay that way!

I may just have a glass of wine while I fold wash and listen to MY music.

 
AMEN to that Blarney. At least your kiddo will get to have some fun and get some sun! On the other hand...a day free of hubby would be awesome right about now.

Oh dear HUBBY said he would do dishes all week this week. Guess that meant putting 5 dirty, wet and covered in disgustingness dishes into the dishwasher and closing it....for a week. I opened it up.

Do you KNOW what happens when you leave a dishwasher sealed up with a damp environment and food to live off of?! Dear Lord! The entire dishwasher was covered in white fuzzy crap! I loaded the dishes and put bleach in with the soap.

Ri-freakin-diculous. And NOW he wonders why I am NOT in the mood to cuddle.

Does any one have any laying hens for sale? I lost allot of my girls who were about to start laying. I now am fort knoxing my coop. I have 2 roosters for trade if wanted. Please let me know. Near Apollo pa. Thanks

I tried incubating this month. I set 28 eggs from two sources. At lockdown I had 10. Didn't really see any movement, but had 5 hatch. They were all Swedish Flower Hens.
I know that isn't a great hatch rate, but it's better than zero. I will try again (actually I have 10 eggs in a different incubator that go on lockdown tomorrow.)
I hope I can find another source for SFH eggs so mine aren't too closely related.

My hatches have STUNK lately. Hopefully you will get a good one this time.

The swap in Clarion is next weekend at the TSC. Go back to ... Maybe ten or so pages. I see that it is "only" an hour or so from you.
