Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

No clue why but this made me laugh and think of everyone on this site! hehe
I have one of those...it's called DH! He leaves for work at 6:30 and goes and opens the door before he leaves. So on the other end of the spectrum, if you freerange, or even have them in a run, what time do they put themselves to bed? Mine have literally been doing it at 7:40 each night....despite the fact that there are still several hours of light left....and DH says they are wide awake when he goes to let them out....so do mine just not understand the concept of light?

My Girls go to bed at like 8:30! I wish they went in at 7:40! The BF is like aren't you going to close up the barn it's going to get dark soon. Sigh, something else I have to explain to him about chickens... Guess he wants to me chase them in the coop... anyways, they are out till the absolute last minute of light, LOL Also when it rains, a few of my girls will stand out in it, looking miserable.. I am like, hello go in the barn where it is dry!!

I may have friends who will take my chicks on Monday. They were going to check officially their zoning law (off of Locus Lane in Harrisburg) but they have a nearby neighbor with chickens AND a rooster. It MUST be okay, right? But if they find out they can't, THEN I'm really up a creak with the deadline approaching.

Our birds go in every night at 8:45, I wish they went in earlier.

I put mine in a 730 ish....they are looking to go into their little area by then...they actually "ask" to go in, the noises they make are quite something...gonna have to teach them to get the paper too..

Only two!! Wait..what? You know...we can help you with that.

Anyone else notice that the rooster did not come out first? He must be low on the pecking order in that flock.

I use to live in the same township as where your friends on locust lane in harrisburg and you are not allowed farm animals of any kind including chickens. So glad I don't live there anymore rules for everything.
