Bah didn't need a tap, it screwed right in the hole I drilled. Tested it and no leaks. I just hope the 20oz bottle cap is the same as the 2 ltr bottle. PM me your address and I will put it in the mail tomorrow.
 
Totally not chicken related...I have 2 weeks away from being 4 year old daughter. She is just mean! She is mean to us, her friends and grand parents. She has tantrums like none other. We have tried just about everything. Timeout, taking things away and very rarely a spanking. She gets praise and love and all of the attention that she wants and needs. I don't know if this is normal or what. I know kids her age are testing their independence and trying to find their own way in their world. Any advice? I am at my wits end and have tried it all. Aside from having myself committed......

I have a 7 year old and a 5 year old and they were getting out of control. You know what helped? Immediate punishment on the first offense and doing it every single time, consistently. No slack, no warnings, no second chances. You mouth off to me? Smack or time out. Or something taken away...whatever you choose to be the punishment. Personally, I am a believer in spankings. Go tell your parents or grandparents about timeouts and see what they think about that. Kids today have it too easy. They think they can do whatever they want these days. Ok, off my soap box. Something I've found to work is to act dominate. If she's screaming or acting bratty show no attention or affection, just ignore her, don't look at her, and continue what your doing. Also don't get her what she wants until she starts acting nicely. A lot of times kids throw tantrums for attention. Yelling and screaming shows attention, acting like she's not there is not showing attention.
 
How old were your chickens when they started to put themselves back in their coop at night? I feel like a crazy person chasing around my girls trying to get them to go inside.

You might be trying to put them in too early. I just shut my doors now. If I try earlier than, MAYBE 7:45 I have to chase them (& they're not chicks mostly).

My son is four and I'm going through the same thing. I've started to actually follow through with punishments when they're needed. We do time outs. They usually work. Once he's had some time to calm down I try to get him to make the situation right (e.g., clean up the mess, apologize for the action, and so on). I hear five is easier. I hope so! Four is killing me!

I am learning to make hard cider....I got my yeast at a craft beer supply store....just repeating what I was told...each yeast like to ferment at different temps...I have been using Red Star Champagne...and it likes 60-70...another type I bought was best at 50-60's....and there's a million types of yeast to choose from....anyway, my two cents....
