Well I go to the gas station this morning to grab a drink and something told me to go look at the local newspaper - which i never do - glad I did now!! It happened just down the road from where we live - I called hubby this morning and told him about it - he said we are going to get a shotgun. It worries me stuff like that happening so close with hubby away all the time for work and just me and the kiddo here http://dailyitem.com/0100_news/x541279705/Daughter-19-uses-shotgun-to-scare-off-burglar
There are news stories of kids scaring off intruders with Cricketts (.22 single shot) most robbers don't want any resistance. First sign of it and they usually flee, especially armed resistance.

I agree 100% with both statements. Not to leave out men (I'm teaching Gavin to shot responsibly), but all women should know. We're more likely to be attacked, and have our homes invaded. Besides women could own guns before they could own land, vote or run for office in this country. They were expected to protect the property while the men were working, hunting, etc. if the didn't have servants or farm/ranch hands.
