That is correct.  My reason for getting a few chickens was simply to have them running around outside.  Chicken ambiance, you might say.

Eggs are a plus, but how many can one person eat?  I expect to give away/sell most of them.

My best looking MF Girl got attacked by something today. We found a pile of feathers, thought it was a hawk and then she resurfaced! Less her beautiful tail and a big chunk out of her backside. The good news is: DH was a slacker last night in his chicken duties and we found two chicks left out all night....One of course, was the lil one with the big eye, which again was on deaths doorstep. Eyes closed, very cold, lying on side... put it in the incubator, gave it some infant vitamins and it's back with Broody and doing well again. I was going to call it Igor, ya know with the big eye and it seems to have this lopsided thing going on, but now I believe I will call it Feline as it seems to have 9 lives.

Oh no!!!! Will be keeping your chickies in our thoughts. Let us know how everyone is doing in the morning!

I got my SOP today, I have some light reading to do

5 EE's that I hatched from a friend.

The EE's are my favorite. Such personalities and color.

Y'know? When I was in school, I was in the gifted program. I took my SAT's in the seventh grade, and did better than my oldest sister's best friend (whom was a senior). I have noooo idea where that knowledge went!

For all the times I have listed the breeds of chicks I have, I just figured out last night that I keep the CRCRX seperate from the list of other Rocks I have. Never once realized that they are rocks too,Duh!
