YAY! Look over the coop designs under coops on here, and ask lots of questions. Pay special attention to the "would have done differently" that some people put. Check prices in your work area too, some of the Amish have decent prices on coops. Shop around before hand, worst that can happen is you find a better price and have spent some time looking. So now the Big Guy is on board with me having chickens, do I go with the $400 one at Calico Creek Feed and Pet in Mill Hall or do I try to build a Lake Norman Coop? I have never had chickens before. Closest thing to it was a cockatiel 30 years ago.
Sorry, I know it's mean but that made me spit my beer out laughing. Hopefully you were able to walk inside with some dignity.Oh boy minecraft... My youngest brother is obsessed with that game and I don't think I know a kid in grade school who isn't!
And I got soaked at the wrong time yesterday too. To start my day yesterday I got soaked by a random downpour while wearing a suit and tie.
That's Awesome!! Coop looks good too.My daughters were hula dancers and my son was steve from minecraft. His costume took forever to make.....and of course it poured on Halloween so the cardboard got soaked. But he loved it and that is all that matters!
Here is the coop so far. He used metal lath instead of chicken wire and attached it to the bottom too. The run floor will be covered with dirt and leaves. He said this is it and he is not building a new one next year

if you can stand the taste, put cloves on it, then try to find clove oil tomorrow, til you can get to the dentist,That Lake Norman Coop is amazing! Although if I put one on my agenda, we wouldn't be seeing it until 2015 or so.
Seasonal beer....who knew? Not me.
Stake, still haven't started the cider. I did get my hands on some swing top bottles, but stopped once again at the shop in Downingtown and they were closed. I wonder if they have Sunday hours.....hmmmmm.
I know it's daylight savings, but my tooth pain will not let me sleep anymore. Boo.
cloves stop the pain, had a friend one time, had a bad tooth, rotten, infection, of course couldn't get in to a dentist right away, told him to use oil of cloves, couldn't find it so he just used a whole clove( for baking or cooking) took the pain away when nothing else would, til he could get to the dentist. it really worksGM all:
Building coops VS buying....I bought one from CL from quakertown....it was so close to the cost of the materials that it was worth it....and if you want 5 birds, get a coop that fits 10....my two cents...
Fezzwig Ale is the bomb...buy a case for Thanksgiving and for Christmas every year!,
Blarney, there's a beer makers shop right off 202S in DE...Its in a strip mall....at a red light (don't know the cross street)...202 is a divided highway in that area..and, find a friend with some extra pain killers, tooth pain is really bad and usually gets worse over time...
And Blarney, if you want, I have an extra set up as I described to you and can give you some yeast to start a batch...will sell it to you at my cost which is about $9.00 ....
Samuel Adams has a variety pack for each season. There are a few I like in the spring and summer ones (namely the Cherry Wheat), but I prefer the fall and winter offerings. I like dark beer. That Lake Norman Coop is amazing! Although if I put one on my agenda, we wouldn't be seeing it until 2015 or so.

I like that one too, the Juniper IPA is interesting, but I like gin. There was a super dark one that used to be in the winter pack that I loved, and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. I know it was a stout, or porter but that's all I can remember. It's been a few years since I got a variety case of Sam, and to be honest if it wasn't for my friend I probably wouldn't have gotten it before Dec this year.GM all:

That helps me understand why my mouth would go numb when I smoked the clove cigarettes they used to sell, I'd buy them when I had a sore throat.cloves stop the pain, had a friend one time, had a bad tooth, rotten, infection, of course couldn't get in to a dentist right away, told him to use oil of cloves, couldn't find it so he just used a whole clove( for baking or cooking) took the pain away when nothing else would, til he could get to the dentist. it really works
