ETA. We make blackberry jelly every summer with wild black berries. There is nothing as good as that jelly hot out of the pot on a piece of toast. I do wish I could figure out an easy way to get rid of all the seeds. I guess I could strain through cheese clothe, but seems so labor intensive. .
Preparation H....Honey? .would not have thought of that!! great info!! Thanks Blarney

I already canned venison in it. Tonight at Lowe's they had a bunch of canning supplies on sale as well as a Ball Canning/Recipe book for $1.75. It has some really good recipes in it that I'll be trying out soon. Prior to canning, I froze everything I made, while it was good too, it took up too much space in the freezer. Canning is so much fun but I don't can for a whole family, just hubby & myself. You have a real sense of accomplishment when you open up that jar of food you processed yourself. Not to mention how much better most things I've done have tasted. I want to can beets this year too now so that I can make lots of pickled eggs with my girls eggs, by spring the 2 new girls should be laying too.
NO..NO..NO..you can't have it..ALL MINE......just kidding...we need a recipe thread now...
