The real fun part came at dusk, when they had to figure out how to get back to the coop. They were all walking around trying to find a clear path back to the coop, because I guess they forgot they walked over a 6 foot span of snow. After a lot of confusion, 3 of the 5 figured out how to get back on the path and back to the coop.
2 of the 5, I guess the stupid ones, never followed. After a lot of confusion, one decided to try to fly across 50 feet of straight snow to get to the coop. Half way through though, her foot hit the snow and she took a face plant into the snow, mean but probably the funniest thing I ever saw. Then she just stood there and didn't move, and about 15 minutes later I carried her into the coop. Meanwhile, the other one just gave up and was looking for a place to roost in a bush. I had to carry that one in.
I sat there and watched the sequence of events for a good half hour, it was a lot funnier and entertaining then I could describe!
