Yesterday was a historical event here. It was the first time I hatched eggs from my own flock. They're my new bantam cochin pair's babies. If I could have one breed for the rest of my life, it'd be bantam cochin hands down. The babies are oh my goodness. Two hatched and one is pipped. Here are the two already hatched:

Thinking about adding the large fowl Cochin, if I could figure out how to keep those feet clean in the mud.
Speaking of this breed, I have one bird that is always hunkered down in the corner, just like a broody, only problem is it's a rooster....think maybe he is confused.Edited by wingstone - 5/25/14 at 8:09am
