so now back to the MUDDY SMELLY RUN problem
I am so GRATEFUL to have the sun today! wahoo!
I was wondering what you would think about it I added some
peatmoss to the muddy soupy run?
Wouldn't it absorb some of the water?
what about the stuff you put in your coop to reduce bad smells...........some powdery stuff........
would sprinkling that in the mud pit be at all helpful............or maybe I would have to have such a large amount?
What if I got a bag of sand?
I know its gonna dry a bit but mid week more rain.............I am thinking this is going to be an ongoing problem unless I have a covered run.
At this time the run is still a temporary location until I get the new run done. The new run MUST have a section that is covered for snow, rain, issue!
My main goal right now is to
---dry it up
----reduce the smell
--- reduce any harmful bacteria or other bad stuff that wet and poopy mud might have in it
right now the run smells, there are water puddles, ----its very soupy.
I have let the girls free range because having them in the run < I feel is cruel .
