finally got 2 eggs yesterday...it has been well over a month since we had something other than Chickadee's egg..not that we mind her awesome Marans eggs!! Now have to figure out who laid the "new" egg?! Has to be one of the wyandottes cause the babies are too small yet..
"the babies" @ 12 wks...they are now 14 wks....only 2 or 3 more months to wait for their eggs

they are driving the older girls nuts, very excitable and rambunctious!

please excuse all the mess...that is all feathers and grass..every time I go out there, looks like someone exploded, it has only gotten worse since this picture.

I like my Barred Rock too. They are Coffee and Baby are the best. Baby always wanted to be held, and Coffee got her name because she used to choke on the bedding dust. (coughy) when she was little.

Well, it isn't the answer I expected, but I have rehomed most of the birds, and they are going to process a few for me to make up what they couldn't pay. I can stop going crazy worrying about who/what/when and where I am going to process.
I expect to be bird free by Thursday. It is going to be so weird!!
I will pop in now and then, and share sunset pictures with you. I used to get some awesome ones when I was in the truck with DH years ago. That and cactus. Lots and lots and lots of cactus. Maybe a mountain goat or wild buffalo. There are some awesome sights out there!

I haven't been on in the last couple of days and finally caught up with all the post. Welcome to all the new people. Finally went to the doctors and back on antibiotic, steroids, allergy pills and nebulizer treatments.

It's been crazy all weekend and yesterday the manhunt for Eric Frein has made it to my area. They were searching right across the street from me. Been trying to keep updated with Facebook. I was very surprised to see this article pop up on my page. If I am to go anywhere, I need to pass here!

as far as this Eric "thing"...wow..if he is still there, he has got to be in some cave or something, still not convinced he is still there though..wouldn't be the best thing to do for him....either way, they need to find him.

***I have a question about ACV..for anyone who may know the answer to help me out...

I have a gallon of ACV that I want to "turn" into ACV w/ "mother"...I have about a half bottle of the "Mother" ACV...***would this be enough to add to the gallon ACV to turn it into "mother" ACV???
I know this can be done, just not too sure if what i have is enough....

Monday they (the Police) seen him at my post office, I don't know how he got away, It's not really a wooded area there, mostly homes. But across the street is the school which is surrounded by woods. Friday night someone called in they saw him behind the school. Wish the news would keep us updated better.

I still think some plantain tea with honey could really help you feel better, without all the side effects of those steroids:oops:. I will hide now and not push my hocus pocus medicine as my hubby calls it
 
Is anyone in Chester County interested in some roosters, or can give me some advice on how to re home them? I have 3 roosters, and only 4 hens, so I'd like to find homes for 2 - I call them Buffalorps

Their dad was a Black Austrolorp; mother was a Buff Orpington. They are beautiful! They were hatched on April 6, so 28 weeks old?
